NEWS: Trump And Xi Hold Final Talks In Beijing, China

[0:10] The President and his officials are here today. [0:59] Well, today I'm hosting the President and his officials in the Zhonglan High Compound for tea. [1:09] This is the place where Tasi and the Central Government leaders of China work and live, including myself. [1:17] After the founding of the People's Recovered of China in 1949, the leadership have moved to this company, including the Chinese leaders, [1:27] Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin, Wu Jintao and so on. [1:33] I've chosen this place especially to reciprocate the hospitality, extended to me, [1:52] in 2017 as Mao Zedong. [1:56] This place is the place of the ancient city of the Chinese. [2:04] It has been very historical. [2:05] I walked over to the President and I was just going to take a look at the history of the Chinese. [2:11] The history of the Chinese people were several years. [2:14] The history of the Chinese people were 490 years. [2:18] The history of the Chinese people were about 1000 years. [2:24] The history of the Chinese people are still very interested. [2:26] including our flowers, [2:29] I would say that we would like to have our music, [2:31] so we would like to set up our music, [2:33] and we would like to set up our music. [2:36] Well, this place used to be part [2:41] of the Imperial Garden. [2:43] There is a lot of history around this compound. [2:45] On our way in, [2:47] we stayed to look at some of the old trees. [2:49] One of them is 490 years old. [2:53] In other places within this compound, [2:55] there were trees that have lived [2:57] equal to a thousand years old. [2:59] The President was interested [3:01] to learn all about that, including [3:03] the Chinese roses, which we looked at. [3:05] And I agreed to send [3:07] the seeds for these roses [3:09] to the President as a gift. [3:11] I love that. [3:13] That's great. [3:15] I want to thank you very much. [3:20] This has been an incredible visit. [3:22] I think a lot of good has come of it. [3:27] We've made some fantastic trade deals, [3:29] great for both countries. [3:31] He's a man I respect greatly. [3:33] He's become really a friend. [3:35] We've known each other now 11 years. [3:37] Almost 12 years. [3:38] That's a long time. [3:39] And we've settled a lot of different problems [3:42] that other people wouldn't have been able to settle. [3:44] And the relationship is a very strong one. [3:48] We've really done some wonderful things, I believe. [3:53] We did discuss Iran. [3:57] We feel very similar to Iran. [3:59] We want that to end. [4:01] And we don't want them to have a nuclear weapon. [4:03] We want the Straits open. [4:05] We're closing it now. [4:07] They closed it, then we closed it on top of them. [4:09] But we want the Straits open. [4:11] And we want them to get it ended because it's a crazy thing. [4:17] They're a little bit crazy. [4:19] And it's no good. [4:20] Can't have it. [4:21] They cannot have a nuclear weapon. [4:23] But we discussed a lot of other things also. [4:25] And I think we're very much in agreement. [4:27] We're going to have some further discussions now with the group. [4:30] But I just want to thank President Xi and all of his representatives. [4:34] And we've become friendly with all of them. [4:38] Great people. [4:39] And it's an honor to be here. [4:41] And we'll be back in, I believe, on September 24th or thereabouts. [4:44] And President Xi is going to be coming to the United States. [4:47] And we will be reciprocal, like reciprocal trade. [4:51] The visit will be reciprocal. [4:53] We're going to lay it on the line.
