test test we call to order the council executive committee meeting it is tuesday may 26 2026 i'm guessing it's about 10 0 2 a.m and we'll start off with some brief introductions mary mary stephopoulos office of general counsel philip peterson council order's office kim taylor council auditor joe carlucci district 5 kevin carrico district 4 chairman president and welcome mr finance chair to the meeting so what we're going to do is have a discussion on the assistant council auditor positions why don't we turn that over to the current council auditor to be philip peterson for that discussion yes sir thank you uh so uh the executive committee is required to set the salary of assistant council auditors and so given that brian and heather's appointments will hopefully go through council tonight um and the effective date of thursday trying to get approval for their salary beginning on thursday all right do we need to discuss the details of those salaries before we have public participation and questions or comments from committee members uh to the chair so yes because you'll want to take it up as in the form of a motion um which obviously you would be able to second as chair because you have no one to pass the gavel to but you might just ask if he is proposing a specific salary for each of them and then i would take them if it's the same salary then you can just take it up as one motion um after he walks you through those details and then you can take public participation before you vote that's exactly what i was going to ask mr finance chair did you have anything to add no mr peterson would you like to put on the record your recommendation so we can entertain a motion yes sir uh through the chair my uh motion or my request rather would be uh similar to what miss taylor did for me is just recommending my current salary of two hundred and twelve thousand three hundred and fifty six dollars for both miss reber and mr parks cool is that more did you have something mary okay is that more than they're making now that is okay cool good do you want to make a motion yeah i'll make a motion to do we have to do it individually or can we do both at the same time you can just make a motion to approve setting the salaries for both mr parks and okay reber all right make a motion to set the salaries for both assistant council auditor positions to two hundred and twelve three hundred eighty six dollars all right i'm passing the gavel to give you a second taking the gavel back all in favor of that motion oh so sorry we do have a public participation card and this is limited to the motion and what we're discussing today john jay nooney is there a john jay nooney here all right safe to give him two minutes to discuss the assistant council auditor salary recommendations mr nooney your time starts now hello yeah i am john philanthropic jelly roll good boy resiliency nooney eighty three fifty six bascom road jacksonville florida three two two one six city council district four c pack three school board district three and uh as you know with the council auditor positions you know i'm in full support what i want to get on the record are the new trust funds 2025 0463 2026 0004 that's the parks trust that would not be relative to this conversation well in that you know i just have nothing but high praise to say for the council auditors over the years in the continuation of what will be just an unbelievable working relationship so i just wanted to uh you know get that on the record you know and again i'm just trying to cite examples 2009 442 is the artificial reef trust fund and you know the auditors were just unbelievable they were super in that pro and that's going back years and that guy he's no longer here and you know i could drop as many names as you want but it is it is without a doubt you know mr peterson's taylor and just the whole team it's uh it's just been awesome so uh i just wanted to take this opportunity show up and uh i'm in full support and look forward you know to working you know with that team so thank you all right mr nooney thank you for your public participation all right all in favor of the motion signify by saying aye aye aye any opposed say nay the motion carries mr chair so what the code provides is that the uh salaries would be set by written order of the executive committee so what we'll do is we'll prepare a letter for your signature as chair just establishing that this where the salaries have been set as approved by the committee today since we have a committee in a quorum any uh unfinished business you want to get into starting trouble no no nope okay all right well then we're gonna go ahead and adjourn
