[0:01] down to the midterm elections is on at stake control of Congress on the eve of
[0:10] the midterm elections a deeply divided country President Trump is hoping to
[0:15] give Republicans a boost Democrats flip the House and Senate over the past six
[0:19] years a team of filmmakers across the United States has been documenting the
[0:24] views and experiences of Americans when they step outside their jurisdiction
[0:28] what is your take on all this stuff going on from the earliest days of the
[0:35] pandemic I love you so much to a summer of protest and long as they catch one
[0:43] dirty cop at a time I'm happy one at a time and economic woes groceries are
[0:48] skyrocketing healthcare is out the roof the hopes and fears about the last
[0:53] elections I want the values to be what the people are voting for not the person
[0:58] and the current one the state of this country now it's messy people are angry
[1:03] I think I am too now a frontline special presentation American voices 2026
[1:11] how can I love America I can't I don't think I can love America I can't put that
[1:25] into words are we any more safe now than we were before the cost of living it's
[1:33] gone up I'm fearful that people will forget how to work with people that you
[1:38] don't agree with these are the voices of Americans people are getting angrier and
[1:46] angrier I'll be in charge of my own life gathered from across a divided nation if
[1:53] America doesn't repent America will be doomed in this film Americans reflect on
[1:59] the past six tumultuous years someone clap points for me this ain't the
[2:05] American dream I thought about when I was in middle school I wish there wasn't as
[2:09] much hate in this world as what we have the midterms are definitely going to be
[2:15] very polarizing pastor a barber an aspiring politician an activist a mother a retiree the
[2:31] owners of a nail salon and of a construction company a doctor and a patient each experiencing
[2:43] changes happening in the country and in their own lives
[2:47] Missouri okay I'm seeing all the signs about like no on four and five you know
[2:59] do you have an opinion on this okay it's it's tomorrow yeah go it go and take a
[3:14] look but I will too it's good to be informed awesome thank you I'm trying to
[3:21] talk to locals about the issues that are on the ballot but so far nobody near me
[3:26] knows what they even are okay so look there objective versus subjective my
[3:33] kids sometimes will just blurt something out that they got from a meme I would be
[3:39] like okay why do you feel that way what are the facts and they can't even explain
[3:43] it opinions versus facts and this is why I hate the mainstream news now my name is
[3:48] Amy Garner I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I am a
[3:54] mom of six kids I don't trust any news source all these people are getting a
[4:00] lot of money from advertisers I would never say that I blindly or fully trust any of
[4:06] them my name is Dr. Christine Edie Mann I am a family practice physician in the
[4:26] Central Texas area politics in 2020 COVID in 2020 Kamala Harris in 2024 it has led to
[4:36] me more thinking take care of myself take care of my friends take care of my family this is our solar
[4:42] crank radio so if the grid goes down you can use solar or you can crank it sewing kit antibiotic
[4:51] ointment this kind of prepping makes me have to think about the idea that some of my fears could come to fruition
[5:00] our men have been emasculated American men are soft I mean honestly if we do not hold the
[5:15] line in 2026 and 2028 Minnesota is going to be ground zero for rounding some of you people up my
[5:24] name is Royce White I didn't get into politics for it to be a job I only got into politics to speak a
[5:30] truth that I thought wouldn't be spoken unless I got into politics our political reality in this
[5:37] country is the future of this nation rests upon the edge of a blade I don't even look at the news
[5:52] anymore because I don't want to see him I'm just so tired of seeing the president okay my name is
[6:07] Coran Lewis I live in North Chesterfield Virginia I'm retired and I'm a homeowner my pastor even said
[6:30] he said even if we're not happy with the person running the country we still have to love him
[6:36] I guess I still have a lot more spiritual guidance to have to do because I'm not there my name is Mark
[6:52] Curtis I'm a father I'm also a business owner I own a construction company my political leanings
[7:02] today are very much conservative libertarian as an American that has no ties to Israel and I don't mean
[7:09] for this to come across as being insensitive but I don't like how much money or the involvement
[7:13] America has in the foreign war what is your take on all this stuff going on because because I I don't
[7:20] feel like I have educated a true full sense of what's happening yeah coming from Palestine
[7:31] coming from Gaza but then yeah which is yeah which is horrible I am not sure how everything shifted
[7:41] from being America first and our economics improving to needing the support of a foreign nation tough
[7:53] times are coming the next few years might be rough there's going to be ups and downs there's going to be
[7:59] turmoil our cultures drifted so far away from Christian ethics but he will hold me fast and he'll hold you fast
[8:08] you got two choices in American politics you can have bad or you can have worse Republicans are bad Democrats are
[8:15] worse you get evil or you get more evil my name is Kerry Gordon I'm the senior pastor of Cornerstone World Outreach
[8:25] I've told my kids at home that this world is cruel you have to maintain compassion for other people and
[8:35] want to help other people and at the same time keep a defensive posture so that you can survive it
[8:41] I've seen on that time they thought they was like it was deja vu
[8:48] Jacob 762 with some green dip that's my favorite round show catcher on the track crime raps report
[8:53] the shelves were never found 100 about the outs I never lied they music really whack I said we be slicing through the app and
[8:58] we don't even got a deli yeah yeah yeah you got bars man you got you can rap just make sure you mean
[9:04] what you say you know music and like art and stuff like that is just self-reflection and you know if
[9:10] you're if you're mad at the time get it out on the what on the music if you know you feel heart
[9:14] broke at the time get it out on the music my name is Tyler Daniel I'm from South Minneapolis Minnesota
[9:19] I am a human first and a community member you know I don't really like to get into politics even
[9:25] though politics gets into all of us right all right my man all right for sure y'all be smooth man
[9:30] I'm contributing as much as I can to the people that I love in the community I love I was in high
[9:48] school I always tell my friend like later on in life I'm gonna do some kind of business like I'm
[9:53] gonna open a business I don't know what it is but something something my name is Jamie Den my name is
[10:00] Jason Tolentino when I tell Jason I'm gonna get a nail salon and then he was like oh my god you know
[10:09] how much you have to pay for rent insurance and then how many pedicure you have to do I was like
[10:14] Jason I don't know but I know that I have to get that the government have their job to do and
[10:23] me I'm just follower we work hard to keep the life the life that we are right now don't seem like
[10:44] something in the air since a year with a whole lot wrong to it my name is Brian Moore I'm a barber from
[10:54] Portland Oregon gotcha you can have a seat and we'll be right with you Peter you are on the wait list as well
[11:01] my business it's not like it used to be there's not really regulars anymore and that's why I chose
[11:11] to do a part-time position at a franchise I keep reiterating to myself that it's gonna get better
[11:18] because the economy is gonna get better it's gonna go back to where it should be I don't think we're
[11:24] coming out of this I don't think that we're gonna come out of this one unscathed if you asked me in 2020 if
[11:33] any of these things would have happened I would have not believed you I guess I am very different
[11:40] than I was back then there's been a lot of things to change from 2020 but I don't think nearly enough
[11:46] it's changing my heart hasn't changed but my political views have changed how did we get to
[11:51] this point he says there are now more than 4200 cases of coronavirus mass gatherings are restricted
[12:03] to less than 10 people all the people the nations and the languages fell down and worshiped the golden
[12:13] image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up my father pioneered this church in 1982 this is my 25th
[12:25] year of pastoring myself how do I water baptize someone in a virtual service how do I bury the
[12:34] dead how do I have a wedding how are people supposed to have me lay my hands upon them and anoint them
[12:42] with oil and pray over them to be healed in the midst of a pandemic when I'm told that I can't have
[12:47] physical contact and they've said the church is not essential in the time of crisis with imminent
[12:58] death and a pandemic the church is not essential it's offensive it's out and back and forth again
[13:23] we are strong people when we will come out of this and be on top again I do believe the bills keep
[13:39] stacking up with no money coming in I'm just looking for the future I'm not gonna stop doing what I'm
[14:01] doing because I'm a provider so my mind is set on what I have to do be a grandpa you know be a dad be
[14:09] an uncle coronavirus pandemic is putting an end to the longest economic expansion in US history we are
[14:21] going into a global recession there we go that's looking nice you look so happy about it turn around
[14:31] so I can see the back look as grumpy as you possibly can mental health is important to me I lost my
[14:46] brother to suicide just three years ago we say economy sometimes we just think of finances as a
[14:54] whole of society but instead I see my brother his business was going down that triggered the stress
[15:00] which triggered his health issues which triggered his mental health issues and he was gone in 60 days
[15:05] this is my brother Brian yeah I wanted to save other families from going through what we went through
[15:18] sorry so that's why I became so passionate about not shutting things down letting people choose you
[15:35] take away people's connections their hobbies their friends their worship their work and everyone's gonna
[15:42] be depressed and I am so blessed to have a family of children and a husband but what about the people
[15:48] who don't it's heartbreaking I think second Baptist praise the Lord everybody our seniors amen because of
[16:13] COVID-19 should not be out and about that's right like some of us are my immune system is weakened so I have
[16:23] learned to love being alone I have learned to be pretty darn comfortable I am one of these people that still
[16:41] walk around wondering do I have covert one person that passed I knew her very very very very very very
[16:51] very well and she was healthy as she could be words just can't describe how this makes me feel head to
[17:16] ammo back right do you want one of those targets we're gonna shoot later today how about no we're not
[17:25] getting that how about each of you get to pick one target um here let's check out here see if we can
[17:34] I don't need a mask man thanks I already said it twice well who was that that lady she mentioned
[17:45] masks and she walked by me and then she just mentioned masks again I want my kids to start looking at the
[17:53] facts across the board and let them make their own decisions even starting at a young age I think
[18:11] overall freedoms are majorly at risk we should all have the right to make our own decisions for
[18:18] ourselves a good firm grip squeeze the trigger okay I really hope this internet thing works hey Irene
[18:46] they can't hear us yeah I saw her picture on myspace wow we just started talking from there all right
[19:00] for one second then we gotta turn the table so welcome Jason welcome young to yet we're going
[19:06] to be sharing in the joy and the celebration of a very special occasion when I proposed I asked her
[19:14] if she's gonna marry me and then she slapped me well you know I always think like oh if someone
[19:21] proposed me I would slap like him in the face just to make sure that he like you know he know what he's
[19:27] doing and then he got kind of scared a little bit and then I was like oh yes and just look into each
[19:35] other's eyes please welcome your marriage with a kiss you can remove your masks if you want I'm hoping
[19:54] that this whole pandemic it goes away then we'll be able to open up a shop normally again and maybe we'll
[20:02] get a kid when the Cova 19 pandemic started we were left without any guidance doctors like me we kind
[20:37] of all had to make it up on the fly it took weeks looking at studies and data from other countries to
[20:50] figure out the processes to manage patients this takes between one and three days to get a result
[20:56] sorry and this is annoying we're suffering much worse than we would have had we had a competent
[21:10] science-based head of state the number of deaths in the United States has now reached a stunning 50,000
[21:20] had at least one underlying health issue the new effort to keep Chicagoans safe during the
[21:26] COVID-19 pandemic come on guys you're wearing your mask wrong cover your nose in early April is when I
[21:50] started feeling lightheaded dizzy I was coughing I lost my sense of taste and smell one day I woke up
[22:00] I was so weak I just fell over I was like okay I really need to go to the emergency room like
[22:15] immediately like put me in a room didn't even ask me my name or anything remember a doctor came in and
[22:24] told me we're pretty sure we're gonna have to intubate you do you have someone that can make medical
[22:30] decisions for you then it's just kind of a blur what happened after I got intubated the day they told
[22:46] us that Myra it was her last day we're all in the trampoline just my mom was crying all my sisters
[22:56] all my aunts were there they're crying they didn't know what to do and we were just planning to go pick
[23:04] up a corpse I was trying to avoid it I love you so much my name is Myra Miras I'm 28 years old and I
[23:19] am the first lung double lung transplant patient due to COVID-19 in the US the attempted arrest was
[23:31] caught on camera the video of last night's confrontation shows a white police officer
[23:36] with his knee pinning down the neck of his name was George Floyd he's on video saying please please I
[23:42] can't breathe the Minneapolis police officer holds him down for me no justice no peace
[23:48] the outrage began with a video showing an officer kneeling on Floyd's neck
[23:54] how many times have we watched police officers running through
[23:58] crowds of protesters facing off with officers in riot gear
[24:04] overnight protests left parts of downtown in ruins
[24:11] if just one of these aggressive rulers want to crack the entire system will crumble
[24:24] yeah
[24:27] we're ready fighting a common terror which is COVID and now this now you know people
[24:32] were just pissed off like this is just ridiculous how can you kill this man the
[24:40] fact that it happened in my neighborhood was what really pulled me into it as far
[24:48] as the volunteering efforts go so far you're our go-to volunteer coordinator
[24:52] right so we really have to get her engaged with them a lot of guys from the
[24:58] neighborhood decided to get together and create the 10k foundation we want to show
[25:03] that we can have a peaceful protest 10k is about mobilizing 10,000 people and
[25:08] the power in that the sovereignty and being able to mobilize I grew up here in the twin
[25:13] cities I felt ashamed that this had happened in Minnesota all at once I started to see you know the
[25:20] state as a real tyrannical entity with corporations and state government and the police I was like
[25:27] oh these were it's us versus them this is kind of gonna be like our pillars for 10k
[25:32] right now safety it's really police and prisons public health we have the prison system prisons
[25:38] you have policing I made a lot of bad decisions when I was younger getting in fights had an assault
[25:47] charge things like that there was a moment where you know some guys broke into my house and tried to
[25:53] rob me and they ended up shooting me I got shot three times twice in my stomach one in my back and I
[26:03] remember sitting there waiting for the ambulance to come I'm sitting there bleeding out and it still
[26:08] it still hits me to this day thinking about that kind of stuff you know yeah I'm getting teary-eyed a
[26:15] little bit thinking about it every single day I've been waiting for this moment a time where we can
[26:21] stand up for what is right and for so long many of us we're always waiting for somebody else to do
[26:27] it people the time is right now can everybody say that one time on the count of three say the time is
[26:34] now one two three say it again you think about the historical context of black men black people in
[26:56] this country in general when we wake up in the morning there's no good reason for us to have
[27:00] any faith in the state right now 46 seconds protesters have been on the streets of Richmond for several
[27:25] weeks now one-time capital of the Confederacy is in the throes of change the statues commemorating
[27:31] Confederate leaders come down I'm going in from over here you know they really did these streets
[27:44] I'm deadly afraid of covert but I decided one Sunday and said you know what I'm stepping out
[27:52] on faith I'm going down to see what it's about at the monument right now as we speak having big fun
[28:04] man each experience I had out here has been different I come early and I leave before it gets too late
[28:18] one evening I didn't understand what was happening when I saw like 14 police cars coming up in front
[28:35] of the area and I just begged them to allow me to go to my car and leave I just want to go home please
[28:45] and they were very kind they even helped me get out and I was gone Caucasian people white people
[29:07] that I've known for years are very decent people on the surface I don't understand why they can't see
[29:15] what we're seeing if anybody had told us this was gonna end up happening nobody would have believed
[29:26] it oh I like to say racism out there that's what it is I got more black friends than I could have
[29:32] ever imagined I got one black friend I specifically tell people that that's my brother and we talked
[29:39] about it all the time it's ridiculous man people that are doing all this are just out just to wreck
[29:43] stuff my same buddy that called my brother he said he said man it's crazy because they say it's a
[29:48] black lives matter thing but yet they're going in and destroying old black people's businesses that
[29:54] live in Richmond yeah you know what I mean I don't know how everything got so race oriented all of a
[30:02] sudden here within the past year honestly that that kind of blows my mind so as far as the platform or
[30:13] the cause that the black lives matter rallies are for I think raising awareness for police brutality sure if
[30:21] you want to focus on any aspect of it that could have a positive effect on the American people you
[30:27] could bring up that one aspect of it but it doesn't just happen to black folks happens to white folks
[30:34] happens to Asian folks it happens across all walks of life no matter what color you are no matter what
[30:42] race you are we all need to work together in a common cause to defend our freedoms not to fight against
[30:52] each other and empower more regulation against us the fight is real but it's always been here now it's
[31:13] to the surface in 2020 now where do we go from here it's mainly just for insurance purposes if it did get
[31:26] vandalized or looted it's not fair for someone like me who is trying to make this community better and next
[31:34] thing you know someone just takes it away and it ruins the whole of the business itself there is the
[31:41] racism in America and at the moment I think it's just getting worse there's nothing wrong with
[31:48] protesting you can protest all you want we live in America but when you start vandalizing small
[31:55] businesses that part is wrong tonight chaos in the streets of Chicago looting taking place around the
[32:09] city store windows broken intense police presence and fires officers now asking for the public to
[32:16] take a step back and work with police before more people get hurt when I first woke up for my lung
[32:22] transplant I was a vegetable I couldn't move a finger I couldn't you know I could barely wiggle my toes
[32:28] I couldn't talk I was like really disoriented at the time I didn't realize then I was intubated
[32:36] for six weeks the TV would be on and you know they would talk about all these riots that were
[32:48] happening and George Floyd and protests the world was so ugly millions of people all across America are
[33:04] casting their votes it has been a campaign year unlike any other and now 100 million people have
[33:09] voted on record-breaking early voting continues I have someone else's lungs and be like a slap in
[33:16] the face if I didn't try my hardest my number one topic of interest during this election is health
[33:27] care reform I started working one month after my lung transplant no I shouldn't have to have felt
[33:36] obligated to do so because you know just because I needed my health insurance to recover this on now
[33:49] you're supposed to find people that represent you Donald Trump cannot represent me he does not
[33:56] represent my beliefs of course I can't vote for Joe Biden for the very same reason I will sleep
[34:08] good tonight because someday as a Christian I believe Christ will return and all wrongs will
[34:16] be righted and justice will prevail my job is to keep speaking the truth as a minister you have a pen
[34:25] you got to put your address it literally sits on the top is going to invalidate if you don't sign
[34:29] I would rather not say who I voted for I just wanted to come back to normal that's all that's all I'm
[34:39] praying for really well you have a right to do that Joe Biden now in the lead in Pennsylvania in
[35:03] the lead in Georgia holding him over the 270 electoral votes he needs Joe Biden has been elected
[35:09] the 46th president of the United States the people of this nation have spoken they've delivered us a
[35:16] clear victory a convincing victory I was relieved to the point where it's like okay this step has been
[35:31] handled now what's the next step you know it's not over this is just the beginning what do you guys
[35:35] think of the election meantime the Trump campaign is promising a new round of lawsuits today Trump
[35:44] tonight again falsely claiming victory still fueling his supporters pledging it isn't over yet across the
[35:50] country pro-Trump protesters gathering at state capitals I really was just so sick of politics
[36:00] I wanted to write in Jesus but that doesn't do anything so I was surprised I felt prompted to vote
[36:08] for Trump I have no regrets about voting for the libertarian candidate I'm tired of people voting for the
[36:27] lesser of two evils wouldn't really mattered who got in office I feel like they're one of the same I
[36:32] I think our culture is going to stay divided the division that has been created here recently is
[36:39] is something that we've regressed to that's going to take generations to recover I think our culture is
[36:48] going to be horribly scarred by this our country is deeply divided we have class divisions we have racial
[37:00] divisions it's like there's two completely different realities anyone who thinks that the election getting
[37:10] called is the end of the work that needs to be done is mistaken Kenny look at me I had to undergo this
[37:27] other procedure and this is what it looked like after sometimes before when I used to feel so bad I would
[37:36] have these fevers and these night chills and it just feels so bad I'm like what if I don't wake up in
[37:42] the morning I'm grateful that I have my family but I also want to have like some sort of quality of life
[37:50] want to live a life where it hurts to laugh there's just so much I want to do I says 1 million people
[38:31] have now died from COVID-19 here in the US the death toll is more than the number of American deaths
[38:36] from World War one World War two the Korean War the Vietnam War combined thousands of supporters of
[38:48] President Trump stormed the US Capitol building I will faithfully execute the office of president of the
[38:56] United States office of president of the United States that a federal grand jury has voted to indict
[39:02] the former president second impeachment trial is set to start tomorrow Derek Chauvin guilty on all three
[39:09] counts the state of Virginia bringing down the symbols of a hateful past general Robert E Lee Roe versus
[39:18] Wade is overruled thousands of people today turned out to take a stand for abortion rights the end of 472
[39:25] the days of COVID restrictions warning however that the virus is here to stay rising costs and
[39:32] recession fears are small businesses struggling to stay afloat protests against Israel's war in
[39:37] Gaza continues it's another wedge in America's political divide Donald Trump will be running
[39:43] for president again in 2024 shots have apparently been fired failed assassination attempt at a former
[39:49] president Donald Trump president Biden takes himself out of the run for the White House Kamala Harris
[39:54] became the first woman of color to accept the presidential nomination our America gotten better you
[40:20] decide because I know it hasn't been better
[40:24] Poland was good to me man I'm you know I paid my dues right and all that I paid more taxes than Trump paid up here man
[40:36] where's that tax when he go to I guess the city city okay and the city you know folks keep the roads repaired
[40:42] well the roads ain't been repaired around here so many pot holes and stuff around here yeah all right you coded everywhere I think it's very likely that Hudson will end up in the military
[41:02] there's a bit of inner turmoil with Hudson being in the JROTC program as well as my distrust in the government
[41:16] it's awesome I want to continue encouraging not discouraging but there might be things that we don't agree with
[41:29] we can't agree on the world must you must say what make it all obvious out in here you folded flags just fine back in your office I usually fold them in here
[41:58] maybe some of you guys know me some of you don't I'm Ty O'Daniel one of the founders of this organization Smart North and one of the reasons why I really I'm passionate about how can you add value to your community once you figure that out it doesn't matter who's in office you're always going to be successful because you you're
[42:24] yourself are valuable and you're adding value to your community she's in the VR space right now doing her thing yeah I can't see anything in the real world right now
[42:32] one of my solutions was creating a nonprofit to help inner city youth the 10k foundation had its time and it ran its course and we went our separate ways I was more forward on helping the youth I believe Royce was more on political moves
[42:53] good afternoon it's good to see everybody out here it's always good to see some uh some Trump supporters I'm one myself
[43:10] yeah we don't like socialists we don't like communists we don't like Marxists it's an unacceptable and incompatible form of government and ideology we got to protect our borders first we can't defend everybody else's borders
[43:23] I'm running for United States Senate here in the state of Minnesota against Amy Klobuchar and I'm the Republican Party nominee the mainstream media says Royce White represents a dangerous
[43:33] evolution and movement of the Republican Party nationally so a lot of people who just read those headlines would think
[43:41] yeah I mean you know Royce has nothing important to say or nothing of value to say you know even though we love black men we want to protect them their lives matter but this black man doesn't have anything important to say
[43:51] the Second Amendment yes I'm an absolutist absolutist yep no Second Amendment laws AR-15s you should have them nice to meet you sir thank you sir appreciate it thank you I was uh I was not surprised you know that he would decide to pursue office I was kind of shocked that he went so hard on the Republican side because you know a lot of the Republicans are against whatever we were protesting about
[44:23] I love it I love it I love it that's America right there for the Kamala Harris campaign I got involved right away are you planning on voting for Kamala Harris
[44:47] and calling all red all the way down the ticket all right perfect can we count on you to vote for Democrats all the way down the ticket yes I can you can count on me for that amazing amazing
[44:57] we have the opportunity to elect a progressive black woman as the first female president in the United States it's a dream come true for me you can see right across here all the Trump signs
[45:12] in what is going to be the biggest political Phoenix from the Ashes story former president Donald Trump has won the 2024 election this is a huge historic moment
[45:27] we will engage in a peaceful transfer of power Republicans will pull off a political trifecta
[45:34] and now we prepare for the second coming if you will of a Trump administration America has the chance to seize this opportunity like never before
[45:44] Trump administration's beginning mass layoffs of federal workers a record number of executive orders he's raising tariffs on some Canadian goods by another 10%
[45:54] administration wants up to 175 billion dollars to arrest detain and remove more people this is a grapefruit tree lemon tree and lime tree these are both for fun and for our health post apocalypse there is really a thing called scurvy it really does happen to people so having citrus is super important to that I'm still the same person who always wanted to be there and and help me
[46:39] help but I'm much more cynical about my ability to do those things there was a time where I was very hopeful that we could continue a path towards justice for everybody that part of me is pretty beaten down
[47:03] no muddy boots what'd you see really shot at it good I mean is your gun open open chamber
[47:24] yeah all right you don't have your finger on that trigger do you uh Ada how did school go
[47:30] good pops took us to school
[47:33] what's that face for dad you know how he is he's a liberal and he knows that we're Republicans
[47:45] not Republicans we're we are just conservative minded
[47:50] as far as my liking for Trump since he's been elected the second term I'd say for the first six
[47:57] months eight months he really came in stayed focused on policy with doge coming in trying to actually clean up
[48:04] government waste I'm like this is this is actually really cool
[48:07] to have a actual efficient government is the goal
[48:22] all right everybody take harder cash cash
[48:32] yeah you too all right okay Jason you want to get your nails done
[48:39] all right our supplies got expensive but what we did was we bought extra supplies
[48:51] before we knew the terrace were going to go up I mean everything went up 20 30 40 percent
[48:57] the suppliers were just like well we don't care how much how much the actual terrace is
[49:02] it just went up yeah we're just trying not to raise any prices
[49:07] because like our client usually are most of them are senior so they on their retirement the bigger nail shop
[49:20] like they say that their customer is like stop spending money on like stuff like this
[49:27] short term it's not a good move because everything just goes up overnight long term
[49:34] it's supposed to help with American manufacturing supposed to improve local economies
[49:43] but what we don't know if will it actually work are you going towards the trunk like you talked about
[49:56] okay okay okay you put it on so we can see how far we need it to reach
[50:05] do not fall
[50:09] okay ooh
[50:14] and then does it just cycle through the colors yeah
[50:18] oh my goodness how are we doing with rationing the frosting do we have enough
[50:24] yeah around this time last year I started the process of leaving my husband
[50:31] and that involved moving a couple of times
[50:36] I had no clue what our long-term situation was going to be
[50:42] and then very kind family rented really cheap to us month to month until we ended up here at a home
[50:48] okay
[50:52] he's here
[51:00] do you have everything you need
[51:05] I love you
[51:06] and I'll see you Sunday
[51:07] I got married one day after I turned 19
[51:14] and so I was married more of my life than not married
[51:20] I basically went from obeying my parents to obeying or submitting to a husband
[51:27] people hate those words now trigger words but you know just being the wife that I thought I was supposed to be
[51:34] and I did not get to experience what life is like as an independent adult
[51:42] everything seems to be falling apart I've been battling the house issue for a few years
[52:00] all of this is what you're seeing now is mold so all of that has to be replaced this is the result of a leaky roof
[52:19] water got in the attic and once it dried this is where it came out at the other end
[52:27] and now the consequences are very very very expensive
[52:34] my parents always stressed independence is home ownership
[52:42] my mother she said I don't care if it's a box with one bedroom
[52:46] she said it's something that's yours
[52:50] I'm slowly getting on top of it but it's definitely not easy
[52:54] you get down and out and you feel like the walls are closing in on you
[53:01] it's a quick thought and you just shake it off and keep it moving
[53:07] it's it's rough out here
[53:11] it breaks my heart that people that genuinely need the help
[53:15] they can't even get the help
[53:17] drug and alcohol my son's on I don't eat I guess meth
[53:49] I hadn't heard from him in a couple weeks
[53:54] this time I seen him I was right here
[54:03] give him some food
[54:04] trail trail
[54:15] cause he's tough
[54:19] I don't have to say anything
[54:23] not gonna get into that
[54:24] you know I trail?
[54:32] I'm looking for my son
[54:34] I'm not gonna give up
[54:44] but it is awfully hard to know that my kid is down here
[54:51] you know I trail?
[54:55] huh?
[54:57] he ain't been around here?
[54:58] I'm his dad
[54:59] okay
[55:03] alright thank you
[55:04] thank you
[55:10] this is what my grandkids have to look forward to
[55:14] groceries are skyrocketing
[55:17] healthcare is out the roof
[55:20] gotta be supportive
[55:34] gotta be supportive
[55:35] yes
[55:36] yes I support you
[55:40] everybody deserves a good life
[55:43] you know?
[55:55] my community center has taken a big hit
[55:57] there's youth that has reached out to me and said I'm scared to come there
[56:02] because some of their parents may have a problem with immigration status
[56:06] there's just been a lot of divisiveness and I think that type of trauma just makes the whole community unsure and feel unsafe
[56:14] what about mass deportations?
[56:17] is anybody considering mass deportation?
[56:19] and do you believe that has to happen in Minneapolis?
[56:22] 1000% with no equivocations
[56:26] now I shouldn't even be able to say that because I'm running for US Senate
[56:29] this is Royce White's second time running for US Senate
[56:33] White was the GOP nominee for US Senate in 2024 as well
[56:37] losing that election to Senator Amy Klobuchar
[56:40] I'm gonna run until I die
[56:43] because it would be dishonest if I didn't give the American people this message
[56:48] and this option when they go to cast their ballot
[56:51] you gave an interview with Steve Bannon
[56:57] and you said
[56:58] and you said Somalis will speak
[57:02] you're in support of mass deportation of Somalis
[57:07] yeah I think the deportations must begin
[57:11] but the MAGA movement is saying is
[57:13] we don't trust the process
[57:15] by which Somalians have immigrated to this country
[57:19] we don't trust the paperwork
[57:20] we don't trust the legitimacy of the process
[57:23] because we can't even trust our own elections
[57:27] you're triggered
[57:29] no you're triggered
[57:30] because when you hear the word Somalian
[57:32] it does something to you personally
[57:35] and I get that
[57:36] and all of us will have those things that we feel personal about
[57:38] but it doesn't change the facts
[57:40] if you're here illegally
[57:41] you're going the back
[57:42] bottom line
[57:44] that's it
[57:46] that was classic
[57:51] holy cow
[57:53] my stepmother was calling me
[58:07] and I'm on the phone
[58:08] Tayo
[58:10] she's Nigerian so she has this accent
[58:11] you know
[58:12] Tayo
[58:13] be careful
[58:14] be careful
[58:15] I'm like what's going on
[58:16] she's like
[58:17] they just killed somebody
[58:18] they just killed the woman
[58:19] they just killed the woman
[58:20] I'm like who?
[58:21] she's like ICE
[58:39] Minneapolis is about to go crazy
[58:43] here we go again
[58:49] 30,000 ICE agents in the Minneapolis area
[58:52] the Trump administration says
[58:54] it's sending an additional 100 to the region this weekend
[58:57] my community center is actually right around the corner
[59:21] from where Renee Good was killed
[59:23] probably should have brought some flowers
[59:28] next time I bring some
[59:31] my dad came from the slums man
[59:42] he was born in Nigeria
[59:43] he came over here for the same reason everybody else is trying to come over here
[59:49] for an opportunity and a better life for his future children
[59:51] I was born here in America
[59:55] otherwise that might be one of those trucks right now
[59:57] this is like a wake up call
[1:00:02] because everybody thought
[1:00:03] you know
[1:00:04] it started to die down
[1:00:05] the whole joy flow situation
[1:00:07] it's sad man
[1:00:08] it's exhausting
[1:00:10] alright so your table leader has got specific questions that they're going to ask
[1:00:27] there's actually a biblical principle and we want to talk about that and it's called the natural law of jurisdiction
[1:00:35] how's the idea of jurisdiction connected to the issue of legitimate authority
[1:00:44] think about like in our world legitimate authority that has been misused
[1:00:50] when the government tried to shut down churches
[1:00:52] exactly
[1:00:53] exactly
[1:00:55] Jana they did not have the authority to do that
[1:00:59] did they
[1:01:00] I don't know a ton about politics
[1:01:03] I don't care that much
[1:01:08] I mean it's important
[1:01:10] it's very important
[1:01:11] but it's not my forte
[1:01:14] it's my dad's thing
[1:01:15] just a few days ago the president of the United States ordered a combination of law enforcement and military
[1:01:25] to strike in an act of war the nation of Venezuela
[1:01:31] missiles were launched rockets exploded between 80 and 100 people died
[1:01:37] and then our soldiers in combination with law enforcement apparently went in
[1:01:42] and they captured the president and his wife
[1:01:48] and you have to think about that
[1:01:50] you have to know how to tell when someone is using authority in a righteous and legitimate way
[1:01:57] but when someone misuses authority
[1:02:00] and some authority is going outside their jurisdiction
[1:02:05] and when they step outside their jurisdiction you have to say okay hold on a minute
[1:02:09] all due respect
[1:02:11] I'm not going to be doing that
[1:02:15] this brings us to the concept of a big fancy word called imperialism
[1:02:20] you stop respecting the boundaries and jurisdictions of all other nations
[1:02:25] and you start forcing the world to comply with your national will
[1:02:30] and it's wrong
[1:02:31] and when you flip the table
[1:02:33] and have that happen to your city
[1:02:35] in your nation
[1:02:36] you say hey this is America
[1:02:39] you don't have a right to
[1:02:40] that's that we would call that a what?
[1:02:42] an act of war
[1:02:44] the united states has unleashed operation epic fury on several targets in iran
[1:02:59] tonight israelian american missile strikes lighting up the skies over iran for a ninth straight day
[1:03:09] when you go into the air force obviously you want to go in and fly
[1:03:19] yeah
[1:03:20] everybody's going into the air force wants to fly
[1:03:23] like have you given it any thought to what your backup thing would be
[1:03:27] not necessarily
[1:03:31] i mean flying is really fun to do
[1:03:34] i mean it's something peaceful especially on the simulator it's very peaceful to do and like
[1:03:40] you get to go out
[1:03:41] will it be that peaceful if you're being shot at while you're flying
[1:03:44] it's just more adrenaline
[1:03:46] so now you're just an adrenaline junkie
[1:03:48] my wife and i have talked about this we've talked about it with him
[1:03:53] we don't like the idea of him going to fight a war as a political pawn
[1:04:00] you know for what game
[1:04:05] let's just say you get sent to war tomorrow in iran
[1:04:09] and you're tasked with something that maybe you don't necessarily agree with
[1:04:16] there's been stories about bombs being dropped on schools
[1:04:21] yeah
[1:04:22] you know known civilian known civilian targets that are you know wiping out masses of kids
[1:04:30] i don't care on what side i'm just saying in general
[1:04:32] yeah i've never really thought about that
[1:04:35] yeah
[1:04:37] for me going into the military it's more about like the experience and what i can get from it
[1:04:51] i want to know that i can be there for my parents and my family
[1:04:57] now most of the times all the guys that i see they're scrawny honestly like they look like they couldn't put up a fight
[1:05:07] and i feel like if you're gonna be a man of a house one day like that is not how you should be
[1:05:13] being masculine is taking your own path and following and what you believe is right and what you want to do
[1:05:20] yes
[1:05:21] i love seeing him proud
[1:05:24] my boy looks good all dressed up in the uniform you know he's he's confident i mean he's
[1:05:32] i'm proud of him very proud and i'm i'm not going to tell him he can't do something
[1:05:41] but i also want him to be fully informed
[1:05:43] get dropped off at 918 is that going to give you
[1:06:01] that's fine
[1:06:02] enough
[1:06:03] i'm going to message the guy that we're meeting
[1:06:10] edmundum
[1:06:11] hi
[1:06:13] christine
[1:06:14] okay
[1:06:15] right now my husband and i are pursuing residency
[1:06:20] in mexico
[1:06:21] okay
[1:06:22] bye
[1:06:24] good luck
[1:06:25] good luck
[1:06:26] we need a place to go if things just don't go the way we want them to go we are constantly
[1:06:34] looking and reassessing and watching and want to be ready should that time come
[1:06:39] where's your card
[1:06:40] it's in my pocket
[1:06:44] okay
[1:06:45] awesome
[1:06:46] so excited
[1:06:49] dear heavenly father please be with the kids while they are away that they will be protected
[1:06:59] and have a good time and feel thy love and guidance
[1:07:03] i have totally new compassion and understanding for the people i've spoke with that say they stopped going to church because they've lost trust in institutions
[1:07:11] i sought help from religious leaders in regards to struggles in my marriage and there was a lot of pain and bitterness involved when i was processing
[1:07:25] um sorry just looking back at how much i was suffering and hurting and um it was minimal minimized and not fully understood
[1:07:42] so when we talk about faith i don't think about religion religion has failed me
[1:07:47] are you excited you know where we're going
[1:07:53] my former spouse he hated dogs so i love having a dog in the house
[1:08:00] i wanted one ever since i was a kid
[1:08:02] i'm going to school
[1:08:04] i now have a degree in mind that i want to get having to do with family services
[1:08:09] to help families that are going through tough times
[1:08:12] okay do you want me to throw it
[1:08:14] i am now amy kelly and officially divorced
[1:08:21] mom of six kids
[1:08:23] loving life
[1:08:24] good morning
[1:08:26] i'm good
[1:08:32] my dad hired me
[1:08:41] to oversee our educational operations at our church
[1:08:45] class begins on friday november the sixth and then i'm going to hit okay
[1:08:52] i love sitting with my dad and getting to learn from him he's so wise in so many areas
[1:08:58] a lot of experience with this but what needs to be done needs to be done
[1:09:05] i had wanted to be a doctor when i graduated
[1:09:10] at the end of the day i would rather be in the will of god
[1:09:15] than be selfish and do what i would prefer
[1:09:19] because i would really be miserable
[1:09:22] if i was just only doing what i wanted
[1:09:25] so
[1:09:26] ella exhibits leadership and courage and confidence
[1:09:33] i think she would make a wonderful pastor's wife
[1:09:38] and i think that probably that's going to be her role
[1:10:11] i'm supposed to serve my dad and i think i'm supposed to marry a pastor and that is an honorable role
[1:10:24] i don't i don't see that as lesser in any way
[1:10:28] look at this my granddaughter corey ell
[1:10:37] i want to be able to you know spend time with her and you know and do ice cream
[1:10:42] okay i go i go run i go get
[1:10:44] okay go put on some socks and some sneakers
[1:10:46] it's hard man i never thought that you know life would be hard but it really is
[1:10:56] and the people that think it's not they got giving some stuff they got a head start i got a second job
[1:11:07] just to be able to be in position to help praying for a break
[1:11:18] but at least it didn't get down hold on go back to this photo
[1:11:30] it doesn't look like it like all that black mold on the ceiling
[1:11:33] it doesn't look like it came down into the walls
[1:11:35] yeah
[1:11:36] look at all the mold and the insulation
[1:11:38] i saw a gentleman named mark on the film
[1:11:42] my name is mark curtis construction company
[1:11:47] and then i've discovered that he was from the outskirts of richmond
[1:11:51] oh yeah look at this all washed out over here
[1:11:54] yeah oh yeah that washed out
[1:11:56] oh good grief
[1:11:57] huh
[1:11:58] that's bad
[1:11:59] yeah
[1:12:01] you want to have stairs rebuilt in this thing
[1:12:03] what you think
[1:12:04] i mean if i it'd probably be nice if you're trying to come down in the yard from up there
[1:12:09] i say yes then i saw you in an interview
[1:12:12] which one
[1:12:14] i don't know what one i saw but you know we don't agree on a lot of things
[1:12:20] it don't matter
[1:12:22] yeah
[1:12:23] but at the end of the day
[1:12:24] that's human nature
[1:12:25] at the end of the day life is life
[1:12:29] i just personally have this mindset that anybody really wants trump wants america white again
[1:12:35] i said but trust me it ain't gonna never be white again
[1:12:38] yeah see i don't i and i don't see that and i don't think that that's the case
[1:12:41] i i i choose
[1:12:43] it's an undertone message sent to the white folks saying
[1:12:47] you think so
[1:12:48] i clearly do make america great again is clearly that
[1:12:51] i clearly strongly believe and i didn't budge from it that make america great again is make it white again
[1:13:01] we didn't agree
[1:13:02] we didn't agree
[1:13:03] my father served his country and the best job he could get was a janitor
[1:13:07] it was that era where black people just couldn't you know we weren't on the spectrum to be
[1:13:12] much more than what they wanted us to be
[1:13:15] you know
[1:13:16] that still happens today
[1:13:17] i think so
[1:13:18] oh hell yeah it happened
[1:13:19] well no no i'm just talking about our service members our service members and i don't care you know white black indifferent whatever
[1:13:24] i think so many
[1:13:25] we agree that race race relations is a problem and it's been existing for a long time
[1:13:31] at least i agreed to that that it was
[1:13:35] well it was supposed to be about controlling our border getting fuel prices lowered getting our interest rates down
[1:13:42] that's how he that's how he advertised it
[1:13:44] that's how he fed us
[1:13:45] yes
[1:13:46] but that's how he advertised it
[1:13:47] that's how he advertised it
[1:13:48] yeah
[1:13:49] well where has that gone now how much does it cost you to fill up your car now
[1:13:51] i drive
[1:13:52] sixty seventy dollars
[1:13:54] it took me over an hour to drive here this morning
[1:13:56] talk about the fuel i'm using up every day
[1:13:58] yeah
[1:13:59] all right miss lewis i'm going i'm over i'm off to my next appointment
[1:14:02] i'll see you
[1:14:03] bye
[1:14:04] bye
[1:14:08] i would say i i am surprised at how devoted she is i i guess you could say
[1:14:16] um to the racial um the racial divide
[1:14:24] you know perhaps she has a very different perspective of that just based on her experience
[1:14:36] and people who do have differing opinions should be able to talk and listen um not just talk
[1:14:45] so i thought it was a good meeting
[1:14:49] one hundred days until the midterm elections
[1:14:55] redistricting could bolster republican
[1:14:58] democrats are pursuing five extra
[1:15:00] rising support for democratic socialism
[1:15:02] americans no longer trust the very industries and institutions that keep the country afloat
[1:15:07] yes
[1:15:08] i'm weighing out republican democrat and libertarian because those are the three options for the primaries
[1:15:21] and going to select them according to which individual i feel is best not the label
[1:15:26] our founding fathers built this country on independence and they didn't just want independence as far as they agreed
[1:15:36] they wanted everybody to have their own beliefs opinions and thoughts
[1:15:40] freedom means being able to think act speak wish dream breathe anything as you as you want uninhibited
[1:15:53] uh oh i think you called the whole uh oh they're all coming for us now
[1:16:06] oh my god
[1:16:07] i haven't really paid attention to midterms really like because we have a lot of stuff going on
[1:16:13] thanks baby
[1:16:18] but hopefully there's some sort of change you know that you can actually see
[1:16:30] just asking just a little bit of help here and there would help the middle class really
[1:16:35] first in the beginning all the parents first come here they're having a hard life
[1:16:41] but then when the kid grow up and their life is going to get easier i want to give birth to a child
[1:16:49] that have an easy life like because i work hard over the time everything will be better
[1:16:57] i don't want government handouts for anything i want to know who is truly going to look out for the best interest
[1:17:15] of of not just my family but it should be all families how can i best take care of my family
[1:17:22] m-i-t-a-y-o all right let's do it we're gonna trade i got some hot commodity for you
[1:17:34] all right there we go i watch my family work very hard thank you guys not only for their citizenship
[1:17:43] but to acclimate in this country and i want people to represent that i want the people who understand that
[1:17:50] and who support that to be the ones that are in office i did not vote for royce wright this time around
[1:17:57] i wish him the best of luck and and i wish him nothing but success
[1:18:00] but i definitely disagree with many of his views the republican party of minnesota calling on u.s senate
[1:18:11] candidate royce white one of their own to suspend his campaign
[1:18:16] a minnesota judge ruled there were credible evidence of threats of harm toward his ex-wife and his son
[1:18:22] white has since gone on the offensive today sounding off in several social media posts denying the accusations
[1:18:29] no i mean it's a farce though asking me to step down for the from the campaign uh has nothing to do with the case
[1:18:39] it's you know it's something they wanted anyway which is they're irrelevant anyway
[1:18:44] minnesota republican party's irrelevant the biggest thing that's coming up that has my attention is the midterm elections
[1:19:08] it's going to tell us a lot about what the next steps are and what the direction is going to be
[1:19:15] yes i'm still in the wait and see phase in terms of whether or not i want to leave the united states permanently
[1:19:36] it's slower here i just have to make that conscious choice to turn the tv off put my phone down and breathe
[1:19:51] might be my ptsd speaking a little bit but um you know it's almost it's almost inevitable in these times
[1:20:19] not to have some form of uh of hurt and pain and struggle that people go through regardless of your socioeconomic status
[1:20:25] i think i figured it out i'm going to paint the lips with some of the smile open so it's going to be a smile like this
[1:20:38] and these white words will be like the teeth
[1:20:44] one day i'm gonna make a piece that somebody else will feel those feelings and it'll do something for them
[1:20:54] and it can live far beyond me you've seen artwork throughout history used for all different type of
[1:21:00] activism you know freedom of expression it's the pulse of the community just like a human body can have emotions
[1:21:14] emotions i feel that a body of people can have emotions like people forget how to be neighbors by
[1:21:40] somebody who may not have the same background as you and people are forgetting how to love somebody that
[1:21:45] may not love you i think sometimes we look too much on a larger level and we forget about the little things
