[00:00:00] Speaker 1: All right, folks, so America's never been as rich as it is right now, and yet there's so much depression, there's anger about the economy. You know, I got to tell you something. When I was in high school, workers' share of the economy was much bigger. It was bigger than corporate America's, right? And I can tell you, I'm a capitalist, but I think the rush to send jobs overseas and a focus on squeezing costs by any means necessary, it's having some negative consequences, and not just political. I mean, think about 30 years ago, how much more fun it was for a kid to, say, get a Matchbox car or go to McDonald's. I don't know if you've looked at them then and how they look right now. It's completely different. And when we stop paying attention to details like that, I think it's less fun. It doesn't spark the imagination like it used to. In fact, speaking of which, you should see what they did to my favorite toy when I grew up, was those Green Army men. So intricate, the details, and now it's like, ah, someone just stamped it with a ball of rubber or whatever, you know? But some people are reviving that entrepreneurial spirit. And one American is focused on imagination, craftsmanship, all that greatness, right? Much more than the so-called bottom line. That comes later. And he's at it again, folks. He's done it again. Elon Musk and Tesla. Look at what they just unveiled. Yeah. So that was the Army, man. all right folks joining me now actor filmmaker extraordinaire dean kane and mary julia coke is with us as well wall street journal associate editor let's just talk about i mean i was watching these videos all morning right there's so many there's one where the card goes up almost it's six sticks to the wall and when i looked at it and everyone talks about why we thought it was ai and all this stuff what sticks out to me julia is the fact that there's there's still people focused on genius focused on greatness not you know because most corporations are focused on how can we make something cheaper elon's focused on how can we make something amazing absolutely and when i think about
[00:02:13] Julia: sort of the darth of creativity that we're seeing among young people we're addicted to our screens we're sort of outsourcing our our genius and our creative thoughts to technology it's wonderful to see original novel ideas being made in america jane i agree with that i first of all i was just shocked
[00:02:30] Speaker 3: we got a car flying before we got any high-speed rail in california and that was pretty amazing elon is an innovator and what he's done has been amazing it's it's funny to watch the uh i guess there was some sort of rollout uh in germ in france as well where macron's sitting in a not macron what's his name uh yeah but that is macron yeah i apologize uh and he's sitting inside some old looking jalopy meanwhile elon's got cars flying he's an innovator it's unbelievable what he has done i happen to own a tesla um i don't own one yet but i'm telling you that full self-drive is insane yeah yeah i just looked at my report i use it more than 50 of the time so now here's the thing though and i started
[00:03:11] Speaker 1: this whole thing out talking about wealth and you know we've got this midterm the midterms are coming up you got the socialists who are doing pretty well in a lot of areas here's one thing that i find intriguing so this boom since we've had chat gpt it's been enormous trillions of dollars added to the market but almost all of us going to old folks and like carly none julie none is going to it's going to young people and this has created a problem out there but by the same token uh americans want more factory jobs 70 say yeah we need factory jobs but only 33 said it'll do it so is there something odd about that right there like we want more shared wealth but are people willing to work for it right
[00:03:48] Julia: right well when i think about young americans i mean the data is pretty devastating when you see that 49 are living at home with their parents that's not a choice that's because they're struggling to enter the workforce and find those opportunities and i think that they're being too selective though
[00:04:01] Speaker 1: i mean like you know listen you can get that plumbers gig you know people are like well i went to school for this you know i'm a mathematician there's no way to ever take that job the high skilled trades are
[00:04:11] Julia: booming and we do see an increase in manufacturing jobs i think 72 000 new manufacturing jobs added in 2026 under the trump administration so there's momentum and political desire for that uh and i hope that
[00:04:22] Speaker 1: young people will step another thing that uh you know that that's been squeezed out over the years of small businesses dean you're doing your part though they revived that tell us about the million
[00:04:31] Speaker 3: dollar pitch so the million dollar pitch is from the small business administration it's a it's a million dollar prize pool put up by clover and and our judges are joe jebbia who just did america by design he's amazing airbnb billionaire you know he's done well um but he's giving back and he's taking no money for doing this i promise we got uh we got of course grant cardone the 10x man himself he is one of the judges and the third judge is the lovely nick nicki minaj and so what we have are these small businesses which comprise like 40 of our gb gdp it's massive and then the number one source of new jobs exactly and so we're trying to encourage that sort of innovation you know a lot of these reasons that we're in this position that we're in that we're talking about these numbers i i look i'm going to point right at the biden administration for sure that was a very tough time and i think it takes a while to turn you know the aircraft aircraft carrier around and i think this administration
[00:05:19] Speaker 1: is doing it i'm optimistic well let me find out how optimistic you guys are about ai the market the nasdaq is down two percent so you know a lot of there's some bloom off the rose right now uh but within the industry palantir cto said the ai researchers have started taking up smoking why they're so confident they can cure cancer with ai in just the next few years they're willing to start smoking uh and by the same token the the movie studio behind cocaine beer they want to open a data center so julia on one hand you know listen i mean are you that confident with the ai do you feel like
[00:05:52] Julia: maybe well it sounds like palantir employees might soon be drinking at work and having dessert at work right i mean evidently everything will be fixed in 10 years um look i think young people are very anxious about ai and the fact that they're afraid it'll replace jobs we do see that we're in a no hire no fire economy even for recent graduates with great degrees um but the data show that the more you use ai the more optimistic you are about what it will do for your life and so i think that the people that are actually using it every day and seeing how it's improving their productivity steam streamlining their workflows are generally much happier and more excited about the future with it and that's going to happen
[00:06:29] Speaker 1: that's going to continue to happen so and i think also like breakthroughs like a cancer cure breakthrough will change the pendulum big time real quick i want to give you the last word because we know what is already going to your industry right i mean some of the stuff we see is just remarkable uh and that maybe that was what the last strike was about you know trying to preserve your image and likeness as long as possible but some are saying like this cocaine bear thing like if we can't beat them join
[00:06:54] Speaker 3: them yeah you know what ai is part ai is here ain't going anywhere so being able to incorporate that into filmmaking into storytelling i think is hugely important you mentioned chat gtp which i don't even use i just use grok i'm staying on the elon musk train right i believe in the stuff that he's doing plus i like it's it seems more neutral to me um i think it's going to do great things for hollywood at the end of the day i don't care how many explosions you have or things that are going on you still have to care about the people so that i don't think will get replaced i do see you know that you can tell when it's an ai video right but they're getting better and better and they're doing it geometrically too it's happening fast but i just don't think you can ever replace human beings uh hopefully people won't mark this and go sucker you blew it on this one because we're you're out i hope that's not the
[00:07:37] Speaker 1: case i hope so either because you know what if you ain't safe i ain't safe all right mary julia coke and dean kane and of course folks that's the million dollar pitch all right coming up to your favorite make sure to like and subscribe to the latest news on fox business on youtube and you can catch full shows streaming now on fox one
