[0:00] region and our home region is very different than it was just a short while ago the future will be [0:07] and we did this in my first term we had great dominance in my first term and we have far greater [0:13] dominance right now everyone's coming back to us the future will be determined by the ability to [0:20] protect commerce and territory and resources that are core to national security these are core to [0:28] national our national security just like tariffs are they've made our country rich and they've made [0:36] our national security strong stronger than ever before but these are the iron laws that have always [0:43] determined global power and we're going to keep it that way we will secure our borders we'll stop [0:51] the terrorists we will crash the cartels and we will defend our citizens against all threats foreign and [0:58] domestic other presidents may have lacked the courage or whatever to defend america but i will [1:06] never allow terrorists and criminals to operate with impunity against the united states this extremely [1:13] successful operation should serve as warning to anyone who would threaten american sovereignty or [1:18] endanger american lives very importantly the embargo on all venezuelan oil remains in full effect the [1:26] american armada remains poised in position and the united states retains all military options until united [1:35] states demands have been fully met and fully satisfied all political and military figures in venezuela should [1:44] understand what happened to maduro can happen to them and it will happen to them if they aren't just fair [1:52] even to their people the dictator and terrorist maduro is finally gone in venezuela [2:01] people are free they're free again it's been a long time for them but they're free america is a safer nation [2:09] this morning it's a prouder nation this morning because it didn't allow this horrible person and this country that was [2:18] doing very bad things to us it didn't allow it to happen and the western hemisphere is right now a much [2:26] safer place to be so i want to thank everybody for being here uh i want to thank general raisin kane he's [2:33] fantastic man i've worked with a lot of generals i worked with some i didn't like i worked with some i didn't [2:39] respect i worked with some they just weren't good but this guy is fantastic i watched last night one of the most [2:47] precise attacks on sovereignty i mean it was an attack for justice and i'm very proud of him and [2:56] i'm very proud of our secretary of war pete hegseth who i'm going to ask to say a few words thank you [3:02] very much well thank you mr president um finally a commander-in-chief the world respects and the [3:13] american people deserve and as the president said words can barely capture the bravery and the power and [3:19] the precision of this historic operation a massive joint military and law enforcement raid flawlessly [3:25] executed by the greatest americans our country has to offer american warriors are second to none the [3:33] best in the world and the best of our country what i what all of us witnessed last night was sheer guts [3:41] and grit gallantry and glory of the american warrior i'm simply humbled by such men such men and i [3:50] tip my hat to our chairman dan raisin kane and all those americans who stood watch last night our [3:56] warriors are the elite of america and again president trump has your back no other country on planet earth [4:04] and it's not even close could pull this kind of operation off and no other president has ever shown [4:11] this kind of leadership courage and resolve the most powerful combination the world has ever seen [4:19] as the president said our adversaries remain on notice america can project our will anywhere [4:27] anytime the coordination the stealth the lethality the precision the very long arm of american justice [4:34] all on full display in the middle of the night nicolas maduro had his chance just like iran had their [4:43] chance until they didn't and until he didn't he effed around and he found out president trump is deadly [4:52] serious about stopping the flow of gangs and violence to our country deadly serious about [4:58] stopping the flow of drugs and poison to our people deadly serious about getting back the oil that [5:04] was stolen from us and deadly serious about re-establishing american deterrence and dominance in [5:11] the western hemisphere this is about the safety security freedom and prosperity of the american people [5:20] this is america first this is peace through strength and the united states war department [5:28] is proud to help deliver it welcome to 2026 and under president trump america is back i'd like to welcome [5:39] now our chairman chairman raisin kane to give a few more details about the operation mr chairman thank [5:47] you uh thank you mr secretary thank you uh mr president and good morning last night on the order of the [5:53] president of the united states and in support of a request from the department of justice as the [5:59] president said the united states military conducted an apprehension mission in caracas venezuela to [6:05] bring to justice two indicted persons nicholas and cecila maduro this opera direction the united states [6:14] armed forces conducted an extraordinary military operation in the capital of venezuela overwhelming american [6:25] military power air land and sea was used to launch a spectacular assault and it was a assault like [6:34] people have not seen since world war ii it was a force against a heavily fortified military fortress [6:44] in the heart of caracas to bring outlaw dictator nicholas maduro to justice this was one of the most [6:54] stunning effective and powerful displays of american military might and competence in american history [7:05] and if you think about it we've done some other good ones like the attack on soleimani the attack on [7:17] al-bagdadi and the obliteration and decimation of the iran nuclear sites just recently in an operation [7:28] known as midnight hammer all perfectly executed and done no nation in the world could achieve what [7:39] america achieved yesterday or frankly in just a short period of time all venezuelan military capacities [7:49] were rendered powerless as the men and women of our military working with u.s law enforcement [7:55] successfully captured maduro in the dead of night it was dark the lights of caracas were largely turned [8:07] off due to a certain expertise that we have it was dark and it was deadly but captured along with his wife [8:23] cilia flores both of whom now face american justice maduro and flores have been [8:31] indicted in the southern district of new york jay clayton for their campaign of deadly [8:39] narco-terrorism against the united states and its citizens i want to thank the men and women of our [8:46] military who achieved such an extraordinary success overnight with breathtaking speed power precision [8:53] and competence you rarely see anything like it you've seen some raids in this country that didn't go so [9:00] well they were an embarrassment if you look back to afghanistan or if you look back to the jimmy carter [9:08] days they were different days we're a respected country again like maybe like never before these [9:16] highly trained warriors operating in collaboration with u.s law enforcement caught them in a very ready [9:24] position they were waiting for us they knew we had many ships out in the sea were just sort of waiting [9:31] they knew we were coming so they were in a ready what's called a ready position but they were [9:38] completely overwhelmed and very quickly incapacitated if you would have seen what i saw last night you [9:46] would have been very impressed i'm not sure that you'll ever get to see it but it was an incredible [9:51] thing to see not a single american service member was killed and not a single piece of american equipment [9:59] was lost we had many helicopters many planes many many people involved in that fight but think of [10:08] that not one piece of military equipment was lost not one service member was more importantly killed the [10:15] united states military is the strongest and most fearsome military on the planet by far with capabilities [10:23] and skills our enemies can scarcely begin to imagine we have the best equipment anywhere in the world [10:30] there's no equipment like what we have and you see that even if you just look at the boats you know [10:35] we've knocked out 97 of the drugs coming in by sea 90 each boat kills 25 on average 25 000 people [10:46] we knocked out 97 and those drugs mostly come from a place called venezuela we're going to run the [10:56] country until such time as we can do a safe proper and judicious transition so we don't want to be [11:05] involved with having somebody else get in and we have the same situation that we had for the last long [11:12] period of years so we are going to run the country until such time as we can do a safe proper and judicious [11:20] transition and it has to be judicious because that's what we're all about we want peace liberty [11:29] and justice for the great people of venezuela and that includes many from venezuela that are now living [11:37] in the united states and want to go back to their country it's their homeland we can't take a chance [11:45] that somebody else takes over venezuela that doesn't have the good of the venezuelan people in mind [11:51] we've had decades of that we're not going to let that happen we're there now and what people don't [12:01] understand but they understand as as i say this we're there now but we're going to stay until such [12:10] time as the proper transition can take place so we're going to stay until such time as we're going [12:16] to run it essentially until such time as a proper transition can take place as everyone knows the oil [12:24] business in venezuela has been a bust a total bust for a long period of time they were pumping almost [12:31] nothing by comparison to what they could have been pumping and what could have taken place we're going [12:40] to have our very large united states oil companies the biggest anywhere in the world go in spend billions [12:49] of dollars fix the badly broken infrastructure the oil infrastructure and start making money for the [12:57] country and we are ready to stage a second and much larger attack if we need to do so so we were prepared [13:08] to do a second wave if we needed to do so we actually assumed that a second wave would be necessary but [13:18] now it's probably not the first wave if you'd like to call it that the first attack was so successful [13:25] we probably don't have to do a second but we're prepared to do a second wave a much bigger wave [13:30] actually this was pinpoint but we have a much bigger wave that probably won't have to do this partnership [13:39] of venezuela with the united states of america a country that everybody wants to be involved with [13:46] because of what we were able to do and accomplish will make the people of venezuela rich independent [13:53] and safe and it will also make the many many people from venezuela that are living in the united states [14:01] extremely happy they suffered they suffered so much was taken from them they're not going to suffer [14:08] anymore the illegitimate dictator maduro was the kingpin of a vast criminal network responsible for [14:15] trafficking colossal amounts of deadly and illicit drugs into the united states as alleged in the [14:23] indictment he personally oversaw the vicious cartel known as cartel de las solas which flooded our nation [14:33] with lethal poison responsible for the deaths of countless americans the many many americans hundreds of [14:40] thousands over the years of americans died because of him maduro and his wife will soon face the full [14:47] might of american justice and stand trial on american soil right now they're on a ship they'll be heading [14:55] to ultimately new york and then a decision will be made i assume between new york and miami or florida [15:06] but we have uh people where the overwhelming evidence of their crimes will be presented in a [15:15] court of law and uh i've seen it i've seen what we have it's uh it's both horrible and breathtaking that [15:24] something like this could have been allowed to take place for many years after his term as president of [15:30] venezuela expired maduro remained in power and waged a ceaseless campaign of violence terror and subversion [15:41] against the united states of america threatening not only our people but the stability of the entire [15:47] region and you all saw it in addition to trafficking gigantic amounts of illegal drugs that inflicted untold [15:55] suffering and human destruction all over the country all over in particular the united states maduro sent [16:02] savage and murderous gangs including the bloodthirsty prison gang trend de aragua to terrorize american [16:10] communities nationwide and he did indeed they were in colorado they took over apartment complexes they cut [16:17] the fingers off people if they call police they were brutal but they're not so brutal now and i just have to [16:25] congratulate our military pete and everybody and our national guard because the job that they've done [16:32] whether it's in washington dc where we have a totally safe city where it was one of the most unsafe cities [16:40] anywhere in the world frankly and now we have no crime in washington dc we haven't had a killing we had the [16:48] terrorist attack a few weeks ago a little bit of a different kind of a threat but we haven't had [16:57] a killing in a long period of time six seven months we used to have two on average two a week in [17:05] washington our capital we don't have that anymore the restaurants are opening everyone's happy they're [17:10] going they're walking their daughters they're walking their children their wives they walk to [17:16] restaurants restaurants are opening all over washington dc so i want to thank the national guard [17:22] i want to thank our military and i want to thank law enforcement been amazing and they should do it with [17:27] more cities we're doing it as you know and uh we're doing it in memphis tennessee right now and crime is [17:34] down we've just sort of started a few weeks ago but crime is down now 77 percent and uh the governor of [17:42] louisiana called great person and he wanted us to help him as you know and a certain very nice part of [17:51] louisiana and we have done that and it's a rough it was a rough rough section and we have crime down [18:00] i i understand it's down to almost nothing already after two and a half weeks new orleans it's down to [18:06] almost nothing and we've only been there for two and a half weeks can't imagine why governors wouldn't [18:12] want us to help we also helped as you know in chicago and crime went down a little bit there we did a very [18:19] small help because we had no no uh we had no working ability with the governor the governor was [18:26] a disaster and the mayor was a disaster but it knocked down crime but we're pulling out of there [18:31] when when they need us we'll know you'll know you'll be writing about it and likewise los angeles where [18:38] we saved los angeles early on where the head of the police department made a statement that if the [18:45] federal government didn't come in we would have lost los angeles that's after long after the fires [18:51] that's when they had the riots in los angeles we did a great job got no credit for it whatsoever but [18:55] that's okay it doesn't matter we don't need the credit but we'll be pulling out when they need us [19:00] they'll call or we'll go back if we have to we'll go back but we did a great job in various cities but [19:07] the thing the place that we're very proud of is washington dc because it's our nation's capital we took [19:12] it from being a crime-ridden mess to being one of the safest cities in the country but the gangs that [19:20] they sent raped tortured and murdered american women and children they were in all of the cities i [19:27] mentioned trend de aragua and they were sent by maduro to terrorize our people and now maduro will [19:35] never again be able to threaten an american citizen or anybody from venezuela they will no longer be [19:43] threats for years i've highlighted the stories of those innocent american whose lives were so [19:51] heartlessly robbed by this venezuelan terrorist organization really one of the worst one of the [19:57] worst they say the worst americans like 12 year old jocelyn nun gary from houston beautiful jocelyn [20:05] nun gary what happened to her they uh as you know they kidnapped assaulted and murdered [20:14] by trend de aragua animals they murdered jocelyn and left her dead under the bridge there was a bridge [20:25] a bridge that will never be the same to so many people after seeing what happened as i've said many [20:32] times the maduro regime emptied out their prisons sent their worst and most violent monsters into the [20:38] united states to steal american lives and they came from mental institutions and insane asylums they came from [20:47] prisons and jails the reason i say both they sound similar actually prisons a little bit more a little [20:56] bit more hostile a little bit tougher a mental institution isn't as tough as an insane asylum [21:02] but we got them both they sent from their mental institutions they sent from their jails prisons [21:08] they were drug dealers they were drug kingpins they sent everybody bad into the united states [21:14] but no longer and we have now a border where nobody gets through in addition venezuela unilaterally seized [21:23] and stole american oil american assets and american platforms costing us billions and billions of [21:31] dollars they did this a while ago but we never had a president that did anything about it they took all of [21:37] our property was our property we built it and we never had a president that decided to do anything [21:46] about it instead they fought wars that were 10 000 miles away we built venezuela oil industry with [21:54] american talent drive and skill and the socialist regime stole it from us during those previous [22:03] administrations and they stole it through force this constituted one of the largest thefts of american [22:09] property in the history of our country considered the largest theft of property in the history of our [22:14] country massive oil infrastructure was taken like we were babies so we didn't do anything about it [22:20] i would have done something about it america will never allow foreign powers to rob our people or [22:27] drive us back into and out of our own hemisphere that's what they did furthermore under the now deposed [22:36] dictator maduro venezuela was increasingly hosting foreign adversaries in our region and acquiring menacing [22:43] offensive weapons that could threaten u.s interests and lives and they used those weapons last night [22:49] they used those weapons last night potentially in league with the cartels operating along our border [22:55] all of these actions were in gross violation of the core principles of american foreign policy [23:01] country dating back more than two centuries and uh not anymore all the way back it dated to the monroe [23:11] doctrines and the monroe doctrine is a big deal but we've superseded it by a lot by a real lot they now [23:23] call it the donro document i don't know it's uh monroe doctrine we sort of forgot about it it was very [23:31] important but we forgot about it we don't forget about it anymore under our new national security [23:36] strategy american dominance in the western hemisphere will never be questioned again won't happen [23:44] so just in concluding for decades other administrations have neglected or even [23:50] contributed to these growing security threats in the western hemisphere under the trump administration [23:57] we are reasserting american power in a very powerful way in our home region and our home region is very [24:06] different than it was just a short while ago the future will be and we did this in my first term [24:11] we had great dominance in my first term and we have far greater dominance right now everyone's coming [24:19] back to us the future will be determined by the ability to protect commerce and territory and resources that are [24:27] core to national security these are core to national our national security just like tariffs are they [24:36] made our country rich and they've made our national security strong stronger than ever before but these [24:44] are the iron laws that have always determined global power and we're going to keep it that way we will [24:52] secure our borders we'll stop the terrorists we will crash the cartels and we will defend our [24:59] citizens against all threats foreign and domestic other presidents may have lacked the courage or [25:05] whatever to defend america but i will never allow terrorists and criminals to operate with impunity against [25:13] the united states this extremely successful operation should serve as warning to anyone [25:19] who would threaten american sovereignty or endanger american lives very importantly the embargo [25:26] and all venezuelan oil remains in full effect the american armada remains poised in position and the united [25:35] states retains all military options until united everybody wants [37:46] to be involved with because of what we were able to do and accomplish will make the people of venezuela [37:55] rich independent and safe and it will also make the many many people from venezuela that are living [38:03] in the united states extremely happy they suffered they suffered so much was taken from them they're not [38:10] going to suffer anymore the illegitimate dictator maduro was the kingpin of a vast criminal network [38:17] responsible for trafficking colossal amounts of deadly and illicit drugs into the united states [38:24] as alleged in the indictment he personally oversaw the vicious cartel known as cartel de las solas [38:34] which flooded our nation with lethal poison responsible for the deaths of countless americans [38:41] the many many americans hundreds of thousands over the years of americans died because of him [38:47] maduro and his wife will soon face the full might of american justice and stand trial [38:53] on american soil right now they're on a ship they'll be heading to ultimately new york and then a decision [39:02] will be made i assume between new york and miami or florida but we have uh people where the overwhelming [39:14] evidence of their crimes will be presented in a court of law and uh i've seen it i've seen what [39:22] we have it's uh it's both horrible and breathtaking that something like this could have been allowed [39:28] to take place for many years after his term as president of venezuela expired maduro remained in power [39:38] and waged a ceaseless campaign of violence terror and subversion against the united states of america [39:46] threatening not only our people but the stability of the entire region and you all saw it in addition [39:52] to traffic in gigantic amounts of illegal drugs that inflicted untold suffering and human destruction [40:00] all over the country all over in particular the united states maduro sent savage and murderous gangs [40:07] including the bloodthirsty prison gang trend de aragua to terrorize american communities nationwide [40:14] and he did indeed they were in colorado they took over apartment complexes they cut the [40:20] fingers off people if they call police they were brutal but they're not so brutal now and i just have [40:28] to congratulate our military pete and everybody and our national guard because the job that they've done [40:35] whether it's in washington dc where we have a totally safe city where it was one of the most unsafe [40:42] cities anywhere in the world frankly and now we have no crime in washington dc we haven't had a killing [40:50] we had the terrorist attack a few weeks ago a little bit of a different kind of a [40:58] threat but we haven't had a killing in a long period of time six seven months we used to have two [41:05] on average two a week in washington our capital we don't have that anymore the restaurants are opening [41:12] everyone's happy they're going they're walking their daughters they're walking their children their [41:17] wives they walk to restaurants restaurants are opening all over washington dc so i want to thank [41:24] the national guard i want to thank our military and i want to thank law enforcement been amazing [41:29] and they should do it with more cities we're doing it as you know and uh we're doing it in memphis [41:35] tennessee right now and crime is down we've just sort of started a few weeks ago but crime is down now 77 [41:41] percent and uh the governor of louisiana called great person and he wanted us to help him as you [41:51] know in a certain very nice part of louisiana and we have done that and it's a rough it was a rough [42:00] rough section and we have climbed down i i understand it's down to almost nothing already after two and a [42:06] half weeks new orleans it's down to almost nothing and we've only been there for two and a half weeks can't [42:14] imagine why governors wouldn't want us to help we also helped as you know in chicago and crime went [42:20] down a little bit there we did a very small help because we had no no uh we had no working ability [42:28] with the governor the governor was a disaster and the mayor was a disaster but it knocked down crime [42:32] but we're pulling out of there when when they need us we'll know you'll know you'll be writing about it [42:38] and likewise los angeles where we saved los angeles early on where the head of the police department [42:46] made a statement that if the federal government didn't come in we would have lost los angeles [42:51] that's after long after the fires that's when they had the riots in los angeles we did a great job got [42:56] no credit for it whatsoever but that's okay it doesn't matter we don't need the credit [43:00] but we'll be pulling out when they need us they'll call or we'll go back if we have to [43:05] we'll go back but we did a great job in various cities but the thing the place that we're very [43:12] proud of is washington dc because it's our nation's capital we took it from being a crime ridden mess [43:18] to being one of the safest cities in the country but the gangs that they sent raped tortured and [43:26] murdered american women and children they were in all of the cities i mentioned trend aragua and they [43:33] were sent by maduro to terrorize our people and now maduro will never again be able to threaten an [43:41] american citizen or anybody from venezuela there will no longer be threats for years i've highlighted [43:49] the stories of those innocent american whose lives were so heartlessly robbed by this venezuelan [43:57] terrorist organization really one of the worst one of the worst they say the worst americans like 12 year [44:03] old jocelyn nungary from houston beautiful jocelyn nungary what happened to her they uh as you know [44:14] they kidnapped assaulted and murdered by trend aragua animals they murdered jocelyn and left her dead under [44:25] the bridge there was a bridge a bridge that will never be the same to so many people after seeing what [44:33] happened as i've said many times the maduro regime emptied out their prisons sent their worst and most [44:39] violent monsters into the united states to steal american lives and they came from mental institutions [44:48] and insane asylums they came from prisons and jails the reason i say both they sound similar actually [44:54] prisons a little bit more a little bit more hostile a little bit tougher a mental institution isn't as tough as [45:04] an insane asylum but we got them both they sent from their mental institutions they sent from their [45:09] jails prisons they were drug dealers they were drug kingpins they sent everybody bad into the united states [45:17] but no longer and we have now a border where nobody gets through in addition venezuela unilaterally [45:25] seized and stole american oil american assets and american platforms costing us billions and billions of [45:34] dollars they did this a while ago but we never had a president that did anything about it they took all of [45:40] our property it was our property we built it and we never had a president that decided to do anything [45:49] about it instead they fought wars that were 10 000 miles away we built venezuela oil industry with american [45:58] talent drive and skill and the socialist regime stole it from us during those previous administrations and [46:07] they stole it through force this constituted one of the largest thefts of american property in the history [46:13] of our country considered the largest theft of property in the history of our country massive oil [46:19] infrastructure was taken like we were babies so we didn't do anything about it i would have done [46:24] something about it america will never allow foreign powers to rob our people or drive us back into and [46:33] out of our own hemisphere that's what they did furthermore under the now deposed dictator maduro venezuela [46:41] was increasingly hosting foreign adversaries in our region and acquiring menacing offensive weapons that [46:47] could threaten u.s interests and lives and they used those weapons last night they used those weapons last [46:53] night potentially in league with the cartels operating along our border all of these actions were in [47:00] gross violation of the core principles of american foreign policy dating back more than two centuries [47:08] and uh not anymore all the way back it dated to the monroe doctrines and the monroe doctrine is a big deal [47:20] but we've superseded it by a lot by a real lot they now call it the donro document i don't know it's uh [47:30] monroe doctrine we sort of forgot about it it was very important but we forgot about it we don't [47:36] forget about it anymore under our new national security strategy american dominance in the western [47:42] hemisphere will never be questioned again won't happen so just in concluding for decades other [47:49] administrations have neglected or even contributed to these growing security threats in the western [47:56] hemisphere under the trump administration we are reasserting american power in a very powerful way [48:05] in our home region and our home region is very different than it was just a short while ago the [48:12] future will be and we did this in my first term we had great dominance in my first term and [48:18] we have far greater dominance right now everyone's coming back to us the future will be determined by [48:24] the ability to protect commerce and territory and resources that are core to national security these [48:32] are core to national our national security just like tariffs are they've made our country rich [48:41] and they've made our national security strong stronger than ever before [48:46] but these are the iron laws that have always determined global power and uh we're going to keep it that [48:53] way we will secure our borders we'll stop the terrorists we will crash the cartels and we will defend our [49:02] citizens against all threats foreign and domestic other presidents may have lacked the courage or whatever [49:09] to defend america but i will never allow terrorists and criminals to operate [49:15] with impunity against the united states this extremely successful operation should serve as warning to [49:21] anyone who would threaten american sovereignty or endanger american lives very importantly the embargo [49:29] and all venezuelan oil remains in full effect the american armada remains poised in position and the united [49:38] states retains all military options until united states demands have been fully met and fully satisfied all [49:46] political and military figures in venezuelans should understand what happened to maduro can happen to them [49:53] and it will happen to them if they aren't just fair even to their people the dictator and terrorist maduro [50:04] is finally gone in venezuela people are free they're free again it's been a long time for them but they're free [50:12] america is a safer nation this morning it's a prouder nation this morning because it didn't allow [50:20] this horrible person and this country that was doing very bad things to us it didn't allow it to happen [50:29] and the western hemisphere is right now a much safer place to be so i want to thank everybody for being [50:35] here uh i want to thank general raisin kane he's fantastic man i've worked with a lot of generals i worked [50:43] with some i didn't like i worked with someone i didn't respect i worked with some they just weren't good [50:49] but this guy is fantastic i watched last night one of the most precise uh attacks on sovereignty i mean [50:57] it was an attack for justice and i'm very proud of him and i'm very proud of our secretary of war [51:04] pete hegseth who i'm going to ask to say a few words thank you very much well thank you mr president [51:15] finally a commander-in-chief the world respects and the american people deserve and as the president said [51:22] words can barely capture the bravery and the power and the precision of this historic operation a [51:27] massive joint military and law enforcement raid flawlessly executed by the greatest americans our [51:34] country has to offer american warriors are second to none the best in the world and the best of our [51:41] country what i what all of us witnessed last night was sheer guts and grit gallantry and glory of the [51:50] american warrior i'm simply humbled by such men but such men and i tip my hat to our chairman dan [51:57] raisin kane and all those americans who stood watch last night our warriors are the elite of america and [52:04] again president trump has your back no other country on planet earth and it's not even close could pull [52:13] this kind of operation off and no other president has ever shown this kind of leadership courage and [52:20] resolve the most powerful combination the world has ever seen as the president said our adversaries remain on [52:28] notice america can project our will anywhere anytime the coordination the stealth the lethality the precision [52:37] the very long arm of american justice all on full display in the middle of the night nicolas maduro [52:45] had his chance just like iran had their chance until they didn't and until he didn't he effed around [52:54] and he found out president trump is deadly serious about stopping the flow of gangs and violence to our [53:01] country deadly serious about stopping the flow of drugs and poison to our people deadly serious about [53:09] getting back the oil that was stolen from us and deadly serious about re-establishing american [53:15] deterrence and dominance in the western hemisphere this is about the safety security freedom and [53:22] prosperity of the american people this is america first this is peace through strength and the united [53:32] states war department is proud to help deliver it welcome to 2026 and under president trump america is [53:42] back i'd like to welcome now our chairman chairman raisin kane to give a few more details about the [53:49] operation mr chairman thank you uh thank you mr secretary thank you uh mr president and good morning [53:58] last night on the order of the president of the united states and in support of a request from the [54:03] department of justice as the president said the united states military conducted an apprehension [54:08] mission in caracas venezuela to bring to justice two indicted persons nicolas and cecila maduro [54:15] this opera direction the united states armed forces conducted an extraordinary military operation [54:25] in the capital of venezuela overwhelming american military power air land and sea was used to launch [54:35] a spectacular assault and it was a assault like people have not seen since world war ii it was a force [54:46] against a heavily fortified military fortress in the heart of caracas to bring outlaw dictator nicolas [54:55] maduro to justice this was one of the most stunning effective and powerful displays of american military [55:05] might and competence in american history and if you think about it we've done some other good ones like the [55:15] the attack on sulemani the attack on al-bagdadi and the obliteration and decimation of the iran nuclear sites [55:31] just recently in an operation known as midnight hammer all perfectly executed and done no nation [55:43] in the world could achieve what america achieved yesterday or frankly in just a short period of time [55:52] all venezuelan military capacities were rendered powerless as the men and women of our military [55:59] working with u.s law enforcement successfully captured maduro in the dead of night it was dark the [56:10] lights of caracas were largely turned off due to a certain expertise that we have it was dark and it was [56:22] deadly but captured along with his wife celia flores both of whom now face american justice maduro and [56:36] flores have been indicted in the southern district of new york jay clayton for their campaign of deadly [56:45] narco-terrorism against the united states and its citizens i want to thank the men and women of our [56:52] military who achieved such an extraordinary success overnight with breathtaking speed power precision [56:59] and competence you rarely see anything like it you've seen some raids in this country that didn't [57:05] go so well they were an embarrassment if you look back to afghanistan or if you look back to [57:12] the jimmy carter days they were different days we're a respected country again like maybe like never [57:20] before these highly trained warriors operating in collaboration with u.s law enforcement caught them [57:28] in a very ready position they were waiting for us they knew we had many ships out in the sea just sort [57:37] of waiting they knew we were coming so they were in a ready what's called a ready position but they were [57:44] completely overwhelmed and very quickly incapacitated if you would have seen what i saw last night you [57:52] would have been very impressed i'm not sure that you'll ever get to see it but it was an incredible [57:57] thing to see not a single american service member was killed and not a single piece of american [58:04] equipment was lost we had many helicopters many planes many many people involved in that fight but [58:14] think of that not one piece of military equipment was lost not one service member was more importantly [58:21] killed the united states military is the strongest and most fearsome military on the planet by far [58:27] with capabilities and skills our enemies can scarcely begin to imagine we have the best equipment [58:34] anywhere in the world there's no equipment like what we have and you see that even if you just look at [58:41] the boats you know we've knocked out 97 of the drugs coming in by sea 90 each boat kills 25 on average [58:50] 25 000 people we knocked out 97 and those drugs mostly come from a place called venezuela we're going to [59:01] run the country until such time as we can do a safe proper and judicious transition so we don't want to [59:11] be involved with having somebody else get in and we have the same situation that we had for the last long [59:18] period of years so we are going to run the country until such time as we can do a safe proper and judicious [59:27] transition and it has to be judicious because that's what we're all about we want peace liberty and [59:35] justice for the great people of venezuela and that includes many from venezuela that are now living in [59:43] the united states and want to go back to their country it's their homeland we can't take a chance [59:51] that somebody else takes over venezuela that doesn't have the good of the venezuelan people in mind [59:57] we've had decades of that we're not going to let that happen we're there now and what people don't [1:00:07] understand but they understand as a as i say this we're there now but we're going to stay until such time [1:00:16] as the proper transition can take place so we're going to stay until such time as we're going to [1:00:22] run it essentially until such time as a proper transition can take place as everyone knows the [1:00:29] oil business in venezuela has been a bust a total bust for a long period of time they were pumping [1:00:37] almost nothing by comparison to what they could have been pumping and what could have taken place [1:00:44] we're going to have our very large united states oil companies the biggest anywhere in the world go in [1:00:54] spend billions of dollars fix the badly broken infrastructure the oil infrastructure and start [1:01:02] making money for the country and we are ready to stage a second and much larger attack if we need to [1:01:12] do so so we were prepared to do a second wave if we needed to do so we actually assumed that a second wave [1:01:23] would be necessary but now it's probably not the first wave if you'd like to call it that the first attack [1:01:30] was so successful we probably don't have to do a second but we're prepared to do a second wave a much bigger [1:01:36] wave actually this was pinpoint but we have a much bigger wave that probably won't have to do [1:01:43] this partnership of venezuela with the united states of america a country that everybody wants [1:01:50] to be involved with because of what we were able to do importantly the embargo on all venezuelan oil [1:13:33] remains in full effect the american armada remains poised in position and the united states retains [1:13:42] all military options until united states demands have been fully met and fully satisfied all political and military [1:13:50] figures in venezuela should understand what happened to maduro can happen to them and it will happen to them [1:13:58] if they aren't just fair even to their people the dictator and terrorist maduro is finally gone in venezuela [1:14:10] people are free they're free again it's been a long time for them but they're free america is a safer nation [1:14:17] in this morning it's a prouder nation this morning because it didn't allow this horrible person and [1:14:25] this country that was doing very bad things to us it didn't allow it to happen and the western hemisphere [1:14:33] is right now a much safer place to be so i want to thank everybody for being here uh i want to thank [1:14:41] general raisin kane he's fantastic man i've worked with a lot of generals i worked with some i didn't like i [1:14:47] worked with some i didn't respect i worked with some they just weren't good but this guy is fantastic [1:14:53] i watched last night one of the most precise attacks on sovereignty i mean it was an attack [1:15:02] for justice and i'm very proud of him and i'm very proud of our secretary of war pete hegseth who [1:15:08] i'm going to ask to say a few words thank you very much well thank you mr president um finally a commander [1:15:19] in chief the world respects and the american people deserve and as the president said words can [1:15:25] barely capture the bravery and the power and the precision of this historic operation a massive joint [1:15:31] military and law enforcement raid flawlessly executed by the greatest americans our country has [1:15:38] to offer american warriors are second to none the best in the world and the best of our country [1:15:45] what i what all of us witnessed last night was sheer guts and grit gallantry and glory of the american [1:15:53] warrior i'm simply humbled by such men such men and i tip my hat to our chairman dan raisin kane and all [1:16:01] those americans who stood watch last night our warriors are the elite of america and again president [1:16:08] trump has your back no other country on planet earth and it's not even close could pull this kind of [1:16:16] operation off and no other president has ever shown this kind of leadership courage and resolve the most [1:16:24] powerful combination the world has ever seen as the president said our adversaries remain on notice [1:16:32] america can project our will anywhere anytime the coordination the stealth the lethality the precision [1:16:40] the very long arm of american justice all on full display in the middle of the night nicolas maduro [1:16:48] had his chance just like iran had their chance until they didn't and until he didn't he effed around [1:16:57] and he found out president trump is deadly serious about stopping the flow of gangs and violence to our [1:17:04] country deadly serious about stopping the flow of drugs and poison to our people deadly serious about [1:17:12] getting back the oil that was stolen from us and deadly serious about re-establishing american deterrence [1:17:19] and dominance in the western hemisphere this is about the safety security freedom and prosperity [1:17:26] of the american people this is america first this is peace through strength and the united states war [1:17:35] department is proud to help deliver it welcome to 2026 and under president trump america is back [1:17:46] i'd like to welcome now our chairman chairman raisin kane to give a few more details about the [1:17:52] operation mr chairman thank you uh thank you mr secretary thank you uh mr president and good morning [1:18:01] last night on the order of the president of the united states and in support of a request from the [1:18:06] department of justice as the president said the united states military conducted an apprehension [1:18:11] mission in caracas venezuela to bring to justice two indicted persons nicolas and cecila maduro [1:18:17] this opera direction the united states armed forces conducted an extraordinary military operation [1:18:28] in the capital of venezuela overwhelming american military power air land and sea was used to launch [1:18:38] a spectacular assault and it was a assault like people have not seen since world war ii it was a force [1:18:49] against a heavily fortified military fortress in the heart of caracas to bring outlaw dictator nicolas [1:18:58] maduro to justice this was one of the most stunning effective and powerful displays of american military [1:19:08] might and competence in american history and if you think about it we've done some other good ones like the [1:19:18] the attack on soleyman the attack on al-bagdadi and the obliteration and decimation of the iran nuclear [1:19:32] sites just recently in an operation known as midnight hammer all perfectly executed and done no nation in the [1:19:46] world could achieve what america achieved yesterday or frankly in just a short period of time all venezuelan [1:19:55] military capacities were rendered powerless as the men and women of our military working with u.s law [1:20:03] enforcement successfully captured maduro in the dead of night it was dark the lights of caracas were [1:20:15] largely turned off due to a certain expertise that we have it was dark and it was deadly but captured along [1:20:28] with his wife celia flores both of whom now face american justice maduro and flores have been indicted in [1:20:41] the southern district of new york jay clayton for their campaign of deadly narco-terrorism against the [1:20:49] united states and its citizens i want to thank the men and women of our military who achieved such an [1:20:56] extraordinary success overnight with breathtaking speed power precision and competence you rarely see [1:21:05] anything like it you've seen some raids in this country that didn't go so well they were an [1:21:10] embarrassment if you look back to afghanistan or if you look back to the jimmy carter days they were [1:21:18] different days we're a respected country again like maybe like never before these highly trained warriors [1:21:26] operating in collaboration with u.s law enforcement caught them in a very ready position they were [1:21:33] waiting for us they knew we had many ships out in the sea were just sort of waiting they knew we were [1:21:41] coming so they were in a ready what's called a ready position but they were completely overwhelmed and [1:21:49] very quickly incapacitated if you would have seen what i saw last night you would have been very impressed [1:21:56] i'm not sure that you'll ever get to see it but it was an incredible thing to see not a single american [1:22:03] service member was killed and not a single piece of american equipment was lost we had many helicopters [1:22:10] many planes many many people involved in that fight but think of that not one piece of military equipment [1:22:19] was lost not one service member was more importantly killed the united states military is the strongest [1:22:27] and most fearsome military on the planet by far with capabilities and skills our enemies can [1:22:34] scarcely begin to imagine we have the best equipment anywhere in the world there's no equipment like [1:22:40] what we have and you see that even if you just look at the boats you know we've knocked out 97 of the [1:22:48] drugs coming in by sea 90 each boat kills 25 on average 25 000 people we knocked out 97 [1:22:56] and those drugs mostly come from a place called venezuela we're going to run the country until such [1:23:06] time as we can do a safe proper and judicious transition so we don't want to be involved with [1:23:15] having somebody else get in and we have the same situation that we had for the last long period of [1:23:21] years so we are going to run the country until such time as we can do a safe proper and judicious [1:23:30] transition and it has to be judicious because that's what we're all about we want peace liberty [1:23:38] and justice for the great people of venezuela and that includes many from venezuela that are now living [1:23:45] in the united states and want to go back to their country it's their homeland we can't take a chance at [1:23:54] somebody else takes over venezuela that doesn't have the good of the venezuelan people in mind [1:24:00] we've had decades of that we're not going to let that happen we're there now and what people don't [1:24:10] understand but they understand as a as i say this we're there now but we're going to stay until such [1:24:19] time as the proper transition can take place so we're going to stay until such time as we're going to [1:24:25] run it essentially until such time as a proper transition can take place as everyone knows the [1:24:32] oil business in venezuela has been a bust a total bust for a long period of time they were pumping [1:24:40] almost nothing by comparison to what they could have been pumping and what could have taken place we're [1:24:48] going to have our very large united states oil companies the biggest anywhere in the world go in [1:24:56] spend billions of dollars fix the badly broken infrastructure the oil infrastructure and start [1:25:04] making money for the country and we are ready to stage a second and much larger attack if we need to [1:25:15] do so so we were prepared to do a second wave if we needed to do so we actually assumed that a second wave [1:25:25] would be necessary but now it's probably not the first wave if you'd like to call it that the first attack [1:25:33] was so successful we probably don't have to do a second but we're prepared to do a second wave [1:25:38] a much bigger wave actually this was pinpoint but we have a much bigger wave that probably won't have [1:25:46] to do this partnership of venezuela with the united states of america a country that everybody wants [1:25:52] to be involved with because of what we were able to do and accomplish will make the people of venezuela [1:26:00] rich independent and safe and it will also make the many many people from venezuela that are living [1:26:09] in the united states extremely happy they suffered they suffered so much was taken from them they're not [1:26:16] going to suffer anymore the illegitimate dictator maduro was the kingpin of a vast criminal network [1:26:23] responsible for trafficking colossal amounts of deadly and illicit drugs into the united states [1:26:30] as alleged in the indictment he personally oversaw the vicious cartel known as cartel de las solas [1:26:40] which flooded our nation with lethal poison responsible for the deaths of countless americans [1:26:46] the many many americans hundreds of thousands over the years of americans died because of him [1:26:53] maduro and his wife will soon face the full might of american justice and stand trial [1:26:59] on american soil right now they're on a ship they'll be heading to ultimately new york and then a decision [1:27:08] will be made i assume between new york and miami or florida but we have uh people where the overwhelming [1:27:20] evidence of their crimes will be presented in a court of law and uh i've seen it i've seen what we have [1:27:28] it's uh it's both horrible and breathtaking that something like this could have been allowed to take [1:27:35] place for many years after his term as president of venezuela expired maduro remained in power and waged a [1:27:45] ceaseless campaign of violence terror and subversion against the united states of america threatening not [1:27:52] only our people but the stability of the entire region and you all saw it in addition to trafficking [1:27:58] gigantic amounts of illegal drugs that inflicted untold suffering and human destruction all over the [1:28:07] country all over in particular the united states maduro sent savage and murderous gangs including [1:28:13] the bloodthirsty prison gang trend de aragua to terrorize american communities nationwide and he did [1:28:20] indeed they were in colorado they took over apartment complexes they cut the fingers off people [1:28:27] if they call police they were brutal but they're not so brutal now and i just have to congratulate [1:28:36] our military pete and everybody and our national guard because the job that they've done whether [1:28:41] it's in washington dc where we have a totally safe city where it was one of the most unsafe cities [1:28:49] anywhere in the world frankly and now we have no crime in washington dc we haven't had a killing we [1:28:56] had the terrorist attack a few weeks ago a little bit of a different kind of a threat but we haven't had a [1:29:06] killing in a long period of time six seven months we used to have two on average two a week in washington [1:29:14] our capital we don't have that anymore the restaurants are opening everyone's happy they're going they're [1:29:20] walking their daughters they're walking their children their wives they walk to restaurants [1:29:25] restaurants are opening all over washington dc so i want to thank the national guard i want to thank our [1:29:31] military and i want to thank law enforcement been amazing and they should do it with more cities we're [1:29:37] doing it as you know and uh we're doing it in memphis tennessee right now and crime is down [1:29:43] we've just sort of started a few weeks ago but crime is down now 77 percent and uh the governor of [1:29:51] louisiana called great person and he wanted us to help him as you know and a certain very nice part of [1:30:01] louisiana and we have done that and it's a rough it was a rough rough section and we have [1:30:07] crime down i i understand it's down to almost nothing already after two and a half weeks new [1:30:14] orleans it's down to almost nothing and we've only been there for two and a half weeks can't imagine why [1:30:20] governors wouldn't want us to help we also helped as you know in chicago then crime went down a little [1:30:26] bit there we did a very small help because we had no no uh we had no working ability with the governor [1:30:34] the governor was a disaster and the mayor was a disaster but it knocked down crime but we're [1:30:39] pulling out of there when when they need us we'll know you'll know you'll be writing about it [1:30:44] and likewise los angeles where we saved los angeles early on where the head of the police department [1:30:52] made a statement that if the federal government didn't come in we would have lost los angeles that's [1:30:57] after long after the fires that's when they had the riots in los angeles we did a great job got no [1:31:02] credit for it whatsoever but that's okay it doesn't matter we don't need the credit but we'll be [1:31:08] pulling out when they need us they'll call or we'll go back if we have to we'll go back but we did a [1:31:13] great job in various cities but the thing the place that we're very proud of is washington dc because it's [1:31:19] our nation's capital we took it from being a crime-ridden mess to being one of the safest cities in the [1:31:26] country but the gangs that they sent raped tortured and murdered american women and children they were [1:31:34] in all of the cities i mentioned trend de aragua and they were sent by maduro to terrorize our people [1:31:43] and now maduro will never again be able to threaten an american citizen or anybody from venezuela there [1:31:51] will no longer be threats for years i've highlighted
