[2:55] And they gave me the lowest seat I've ever sat in. [2:58] You know, they said that, they do that on purpose. [3:02] I don't think it was Chris that did it. [3:03] I'm just trying to compare them. [3:06] Chris wouldn't do that, but it happens. [3:09] It's really an honor to be with you. [3:11] Tremendous people, and it's a really important subject. [3:14] So I wanted to be here. [3:15] I'll say a few words, and then I'll head out, and you'll handle it. [3:19] And it's something you're very familiar with. [3:22] But the people in the room are real doers, real amazing. [3:28] It's an amazing group. [3:29] We're here today to continue the incredible progress we're making in communities nationwide [3:35] to ensure that as new data centers go up, and they're going up all over, [3:40] electricity bills for American families will actually come down. [3:44] You know, you're going to be building your own data centers, [3:47] and you're going to be building your own electric plants. [3:50] You're essentially becoming a utility, like Con Edison in New York, [3:54] but maybe at a level that nobody's ever seen before. [3:57] Because we've seen some of the plants that they're building are absolutely incredible. [4:02] They're absolutely incredible. [4:04] They're electric plants, electric manufacturing plants. [4:07] It's hard to believe, but you need double the electricity that we have right now, [4:11] maybe even more than that, to really fulfill what you want to do. [4:14] We're leading China by a lot. [4:17] And using our old grid would not have worked. [4:21] And I came up with the idea that, you know, build your own plant. [4:24] This way nobody can complain. [4:26] You won't call me and say, what a terrible job I'm doing, [4:28] because we have a 200-year-old grid that's not the best in the world. [4:34] You look at some places, you take a look at California, [4:36] you have brownouts and blackouts every weekend. [4:39] The last thing they're going to be able to do is supply electric at numbers. [4:44] Nobody's ever explained to me why it's so much electricity, [4:49] why you need so much, nor did I care that much, to be honest with you. [4:52] All I know is you need more than double what we produce right now. [4:55] Think of it. [4:55] So we produce tremendous amounts of electricity for every business. [5:01] And this industry needs more than double that amount. [5:04] So we're letting you build your own [5:06] with the Trump administration's rate payer protection plan. [5:11] The American innovators and consumers thrive to win together [5:15] because we're insisting that AI data centers and big tech companies pay their own way. [5:21] And that's what they're doing. [5:22] And they're happy to do it because this way they're going to be able [5:26] to function and function brilliantly. [5:30] They're going to have a lot of electricity left over, [5:32] and they'll put that into the grid. [5:33] So we'll actually end up with more electricity. [5:36] The rates are going to go down. [5:37] As president, I've always said that America's goal must be to dominate the future. [5:42] And that includes being the number one superpower in artificial intelligence. [5:46] So important. [5:47] And this is, I think, bigger than the – frankly, I think it's bigger than the Internet. [5:52] It's bigger than anything anyone's seen thus far. [5:55] Maybe someday there'll be something bigger than this. [5:57] Probably will. [5:59] But I think up until this point, AI is probably the biggest thing anybody's ever seen. [6:04] And whoever wins that race is probably going to win, period. [6:07] And, again, we're leading China. [6:10] We want to keep it that way. [6:11] President Xi is coming over on September 24th. [6:14] And we talked about it when I was over in Beijing. [6:18] And we'll be talking about it again. [6:20] But he was very impressed with the job we've done. [6:22] Because ordinarily, you know, they don't have any problem with electric. [6:27] They build a lot of electric. [6:29] They don't do environmental impact statements. [6:31] They just say, you want electric? [6:32] We'll build it. [6:33] They don't use too many windmills. [6:34] They make the windmills, but they don't use them. [6:37] They do it the old-fashioned way in many ways. [6:40] The United States never settles for second. [6:43] And we don't under this administration. [6:45] I can tell you that. [6:46] You see that because we have the hottest country right now anywhere in the world. [6:50] We live by the motto, America first. [6:52] That's what's made us very strong. [6:54] And we're leading China and all other countries by a lot in AI and just about every other category, including crypto. [7:02] We want to stay in front in crypto. [7:04] They'd love to take that over. [7:06] So many other things I'd like to take over. [7:08] They're highly competitive, if you haven't noticed. [7:11] But thanks in part to this incredible technology boom, investments are pouring into the United States from all over the world. [7:18] $19.2 trillion creating hundreds of thousands of jobs. [7:24] So think of it, $19.2 trillion in 12 months, okay? [7:29] And the previous administration had less than $1 trillion in four years. [7:34] I would say that's an improvement. [7:36] Do I get credit for it? [7:37] No. [7:38] But no credit. [7:42] Think of that. [7:44] $19.2 trillion in 12 months versus less than one in four years. [7:49] It's hard to believe, right? [7:50] But that's the way it is. [7:52] No credit. [7:53] But we just keep chugging along. [7:54] But as they say, I say, I get no credit for anything. [7:57] And then I look around the Oval Office. [7:59] I said, oh, but we're in the Oval Office. [8:00] So I guess we do get credit. [8:03] But less than two years ago, our country was dead. [8:06] And I've had this said by so many leaders. [8:08] They use the expression a little bit different sometimes. [8:11] It's said differently, but meaning the same thing. [8:13] They say, sir, less than two years ago, your country was dead. [8:18] And now you have the hottest country anywhere in the world. [8:21] And we are the hottest in the world. [8:23] At the same time, we know that the data centers and AI are dramatically increasing the demand [8:28] for electricity. [8:28] It's only fair that the cost of building the new infrastructure required to meet this demand [8:33] should be borne by the corporations themselves, not by the American consumers and the American [8:40] patriots, American citizens. [8:42] And I think everybody agrees to it. [8:44] And actually, they really don't have a choice because there's no way of producing that kind [8:48] of electricity, the kind you need. [8:50] And they want to do it themselves. [8:52] And honestly, they're coming up with some plants that are genius just like they are. [8:58] That's why earlier this year, I introduced the Ratepayer Protection Pledge. [9:04] Under this groundbreaking plan, America's largest tech companies have formally committed [9:08] to fund or build all energy infrastructure required to meet the demand they are placing [9:14] on the grid. [9:15] So they're going to be funding all of those electric needs. [9:18] And we're giving them the right to build their own power plants. [9:21] Lee Zeldin is here. [9:22] He's phenomenal. [9:24] And he's getting it done quickly. [9:25] And he is phenomenal. [9:39] He's incredible. [9:40] He's an MVP candidate, I will tell you. [9:44] He is doing things at levels. [9:45] And by the way, everything perfectly. [9:48] He's totally into the environment. [9:50] But he's getting things done in two, three, four weeks that used to take years and years. [9:56] And people are getting their approvals. [9:58] And they're building buildings. [9:59] We're building more buildings now, plants, and all sorts of manufacturing capability that [10:05] we've never done anywhere near it many, many times. [10:08] And companies are pouring in. [10:09] Toyota the other day, as you know, announced that they're moving into our country from Mexico. [10:16] They're going to be, I think, closing up a lot of their operation. [10:19] Maybe all of it in Mexico. [10:20] They're moving to this country. [10:22] We have many car. [10:24] We have more car plants being built now in the United States than at any time in history. [10:30] And, you know, we went years before me. [10:32] We went many years with no car plant being built. [10:35] I mean, they wouldn't even think about building in this country. [10:38] Now, with a hot same thing with chips, we'll have about 50 percent by the time this term [10:44] is over, we're going to have probably 50 percent of the chip market. [10:49] A year ago, when we began, we had no chip market. [10:53] We had virtually none other than Intel. [10:55] We had Intel. [10:57] And we made a purchase of 10 percent of Intel. [10:59] We got it for the right price. [11:01] And we made approximately $72 billion on that deal. [11:05] So it was good. [11:06] Do I get credit for that one? [11:08] No. [11:08] I get no credit. [11:13] None. [11:16] So we did that. [11:17] And we made a lot of great deals, I'll tell you. [11:19] And we keep it going, too. [11:21] But Intel's been fantastic. [11:22] One of the hottest companies anywhere in the country. [11:26] And when we met them, they were really having very big difficulty. [11:29] We worked with them. [11:31] But the stock price has gone up many times. [11:33] I think it's maybe the hottest or one of the hottest anywhere in the world. [11:38] So it was an honor to do it. [11:39] I love looking good. [11:41] But we made a lot of money. [11:42] We made, I guess, over $72 billion. [11:43] $72 billion on that profit. [11:46] They've also agreed to invest heavily in local communities where data centers are built, [11:52] supporting job training and local services. [11:55] They're really spending a tremendous amount of money. [11:57] In other words, there are the governors in the room. [11:59] We have great governors in this room. [12:01] And these companies are spending tremendous amounts of money on the communities, the local communities. [12:08] So I think it's important that we tell the local communities that because other nations are trying to get us to slow down. [12:17] And they're spending a lot of money on propaganda, on press, PR, trying to convince everybody that this isn't a positive thing. [12:28] And if we don't do this, we're going to be left behind. [12:30] And even communities compared to other communities, you have some communities that really want this. [12:34] This isn't all negative stuff. [12:36] This is, you have communities that really want the data centers. [12:39] And frankly, those are the smart communities because it means tremendous numbers of jobs, very little actual disruption. [12:49] And the ones that don't want it, you know, the happiest people in the world are foreign countries, number one. [12:55] And number two, other communities within our country because they're begging for them to be there. [13:00] And some of them are great communities, very, very forward-looking communities, very smart communities. [13:07] Since I introduced this plan just a few months ago, more than 220 utilities, tech companies, state governments, and other partners have signed our ratepayer protection pledge. [13:19] Electricity rates for 80 percent of the power distributed in America are now being kept in check by the plan. [13:26] We have kept rates down, way down. [13:29] You know, we inherited the worst inflation in the history of America from the Biden administration. [13:35] And as you know, last week it was announced that inflation is way down. [13:41] It's down more than it's been in over six years. [13:45] And other things are happening that are so fantastic. [13:47] And when these, all these buildings, plants, factories that we're talking about start opening up, [13:52] all I know is I'd like to be the next president [13:55] because I'm going to make somebody look very good. [13:58] They're going to sit there and all this stuff is going to be opening and they're going to be saying what a genius they are. [14:04] That happened with Biden. [14:05] I got cuts in medicine prices that statutorily took two or three years. [14:10] And I got these tremendous cuts and then they sat there and said, oh, yeah, they didn't even know where they came from. [14:17] But I got them. [14:18] And this is going to be a much bigger example. [14:20] You have all these plants that are going to be opening up over the next two years, sooner, but two years. [14:27] And somebody is going to look very, very smart. [14:28] And I hope you remember me because what we've done is something that nobody thought was possible. [14:33] For example, Southern companies, Georgia Power has frozen base rates for households until 2029. [14:42] Is anybody here from Georgia Power? [14:45] That's a great job. [14:55] I've heard about it. [14:56] Congratulations to both. [14:58] And it's fantastic. [14:59] And Georgia, the revenue from Google's data center construction is allowing them to eliminate property taxes entirely. [15:08] And that's what you call using it to your advantage. [15:10] The numbers are so incredible. [15:13] Nobody's ever seen. [15:14] You know, all my life, the biggest building in the whole world was the Pentagon. [15:19] And you can fit 25 pentagons into some of these buildings, 25. [15:24] And if you happen to be a community, and there's very little disruption. [15:28] They're just large. [15:29] They're going for miles. [15:31] And frankly, if you like certain types of things, they're incredible to look at, to see that we could do something like this. [15:38] But they also throw off tremendous amounts of money for the community. [15:41] And when you look at Georgia, and you look at the revenue, think of that, revenue from Google's data center construction, allowing them to eliminate all property taxes. [15:50] Did you know that, Brian? [15:52] That's not bad, right? [15:53] It's okay. [15:54] Thank you very much. [15:55] Great job. [15:56] That's a great job. [15:57] And you probably had some negative stuff, a little heat. [16:00] Oh, we don't want a data center. [16:03] Usually, those are the people that actually want them and they'd like you not to build them. [16:07] Because you know what? [16:08] If it doesn't go to you and if it doesn't go to Georgia, as an example, it's going to go someplace else. [16:13] And those people are very happy to get them, too, the smart people. [16:16] American Electric Power now projects that their customers will enjoy as much as $16 billion in cost offsets for consumers thanks to their data center contracts. [16:29] $16 billion. [16:31] So think of that. [16:32] That's cost offsets. [16:33] In Iowa, Alliant Energy data center deals. [16:38] Where are you, Alliant? [16:41] Alliant, where are you? [16:42] Are you here? [16:44] Thank you. [16:46] Data center deals are allowing them to freeze electric rates for consumers for at least five years. [16:53] So your rates are going to stay the same or lower. [16:56] In Louisiana, there's a guy who looks like he's from Louisiana to me. [17:00] Public school teachers in Richard. [17:03] So think of that. [17:04] Richland Parish are getting as much as $50,000 in bonuses this year thanks to a $27 billion project by Meta that will also save local residents $2.6 billion on their electricity bills. [17:19] Their electricity is going down in less than that. [17:28] That's big stuff, Mr. Governor, right? [17:30] You didn't have any doubt about it. [17:32] Here's a governor doing a great job. [17:35] We have some really great governors in this room. [17:37] With the ratepayer protection pledge, we're creating a fair deal for everybody. [17:42] This is how we'll grow our economy, lower the cost of living, protect American consumers, and lead the world in AI and high tech all at the same time. [17:52] We want to lead the world. [17:53] And it is said, if you come in second, you're going to be second overall because there's never been anything big like this. [17:59] There's never been anything like in Georgia. [18:01] There's no other thing you can do to create numbers like you've created Brian, both of you. [18:07] There's no other thing. [18:08] You can do a hundred different deals, a hundred. [18:10] It is nothing close to what you've been able to do. [18:13] And why? [18:13] They put a big, gorgeous new plant in a certain location. [18:16] Big deal. [18:17] It's so incredibly positive. [18:20] Unfortunately, there are some who would like to lead us down the opposite path. [18:26] And I call them the radical left communists. [18:28] They call them socialists, but these people are communists. [18:31] Actually, I think it's a much more accurate term. [18:34] Want to shut down all new development, kill our most successful industries, destroy hundreds of thousands of jobs, [18:41] and surrender the AI race to China. [18:44] And China, look, you know, I'm not blaming them. [18:47] I have a lot of respect for them. [18:49] I have a lot of respect for President Xi, but they represent China. [18:53] We represent the United States of America. [18:56] And they lobby against these things, and they spend money on it, [19:00] and they want communities to reject them as much as possible because they'd like to be leading the race. [19:06] But we're leading the race. [19:07] And unless we're very foolish and, frankly, very stupid, we'll continue to lead the race. [19:12] We have a nice lead. [19:14] A lot of people didn't expect that was possible. [19:16] Perhaps even worse, the radical left's plans would not lower your electricity bills, [19:21] but they would actually increase them very substantially because you wouldn't have all of this money pouring in. [19:28] You'd have American energy would be far more expensive in regulating oil, natural gas, and clean, beautiful coal. [19:36] It would be the end of all of it. [19:39] It would be the end of all of it. [19:40] It would be the end of, frankly, it would be the end of great success for our country [19:45] because we've never had anything like what's happening right now. [19:48] I call them the Democrats because their policies are so bad. [19:52] Look, think of it. [19:54] No men. [19:55] We want no men in women's sports. [19:59] Transgender, they want. [20:01] Transgender for everybody. [20:02] I call it transgender mutilization of your children for everybody. [20:07] Open borders where the world can pour in, where prisons from all over the world are released into our country. [20:13] And we've done a hell of a job in getting them out. [20:15] Murderers. [20:26] But the Democrats in Congress want less energy, not more. [20:31] And if given the chance, they'd send you prices soaring and inflation skyrocketing, [20:36] which is exactly what would happen if you had somebody else sitting in the position that I am right now. [20:41] And just like we did with the Green News scam, where we were scammed. [20:46] The whole country was – I wasn't scammed. [20:48] I got it right from the beginning. [20:49] I got it from the first minute when I heard this crap. [20:53] You know? [20:54] They were saying wind was so wonderful, so wonderful, except you couldn't watch your television. [21:30] So, experts have observed that the amount of energy a society produces is the single [21:37] greatest indicator of its advancement as a civilization, its success as a country. [21:44] Think of it. [21:45] When you – when you think the amount of energy produced, Lee, so when you give those fast [21:50] approvals, that's a positive thing. [21:52] I want – I want you to feel good. [21:54] Yet, instead of offering a positive version and vision for carrying American civilization to [22:01] new heights, the radical left only wants to limit our energy consumption and reign in [22:06] our American dreams. [22:08] We have the American dream. [22:10] Until we came along, the first – we had a great first term. [22:14] We had the greatest economy in the history of our country. [22:17] And this economy will blow it away. [22:19] We're doing very well against the Islamic Republic of Iran. [22:25] We're doing extremely well. [22:26] They would like to do something. [22:28] But I say they're not ready yet. [22:30] They need more of the same. [22:32] They're not ready yet. [22:33] They got some evil intentions. [22:35] We cannot let them have a nuclear weapon. [22:43] When they start blowing away communities one by one, we cannot let them ever even think about [22:50] having a nuclear weapon, and that's exactly what's happening. [22:54] They'll never have a nuclear weapon under the – and by the way, this should have been [23:03] – this should have been done by other – they've been saying 47 years now for about three [23:07] years, but this should have been done for 50 years by other American presidents or other [23:12] countries. [23:14] It didn't have to be us, but it seems to – if we don't do it, nobody else is. [23:18] But I will – and nobody else has the capability to do it either. [23:21] We built, in my first term, the greatest military anywhere in the world. [23:24] And we're using it a little more than I thought, but that's all right. [23:28] We had Venezuela, that Chris is doing a fantastic job, and we've paid for the cost of that war [23:33] many times over. [23:34] We're taking millions and millions of barrels of oil, and it's going to Houston and Louisiana. [23:40] You know that. [23:41] You see those ships lined up. [23:43] And again, we've paid for that many, many times over, and we have a great relationship [23:49] with Venezuela. [23:51] And the people are happy in Venezuela right now. [23:53] They can't believe what's happened. [23:54] And we have the biggest companies, the biggest oil companies in the world going in and doing [23:58] business like nobody ever thought possible. [24:01] And we're taking some. [24:02] We should. [24:03] And they're taking – they're taking some. [24:06] And, you know, it's very interesting that they're making more money – Chris was showing [24:10] me some numbers. [24:11] They're making more money, Venezuela now, than they've ever made before. [24:16] And we're making a lot, too. [24:20] And I think we're entitled to that. [24:21] And so it was really something. [24:22] We took that – it was a one-day war. [24:24] It took one day. [24:25] People said, oh, we're going to be tied up there forever. [24:28] And here, you know, we were in Vietnam for 20 years. [24:32] Lost thousands and hundreds of thousands of lives. [24:35] But thousands and thousands of lives. [24:37] We were in Afghanistan for years. [24:39] We were in all these wars that you heard about for years and years. [24:45] We were, you know, never – I called them never-ending wars. [24:49] But we were in for four months. [24:51] And we – I had a very sad day yesterday. [24:54] I went to Dover. [24:54] Four great American patriots killed. [24:57] That's 18 in two wars. [24:59] And one is too many. [25:01] But it's 18. [25:02] Whereas in Vietnam, we lost 200,000. [25:06] We lost thousands and thousands in Afghanistan. [25:10] We lost thousands in every war. [25:12] The Korean War, thousands. [25:13] And these wars all lasted for years. [25:15] And we want to get it over with. [25:17] And we want to do it right. [25:19] But we have to – we have to do what we came to do. [25:22] And that's – we can't let these people – very violent people. [25:25] We can't let them have what they want, which is nuclear weapons. [25:29] It came from – all of this success came from innovation and ambition and drive. [25:35] In this country, we build the future fearlessly and confidently so that America always will [25:41] be strong, prosperous, and dominant. [25:44] And the other thing we're going to add to that, we want to be free. [25:47] And we're going to continue to be free as long as we're smart. [25:50] And we can't be hoodwinked. [25:53] We can't be taken advantage of by people that say you're going to have a free home. [25:58] You're going to get free rent. [25:59] Everything's going to be free. [26:00] What they don't say is a year later, everything's going to be – end up in squalor, [26:04] destruction, and death. [26:06] And also death for our country. [26:08] So we have to stop the threat of the communist rhetoric that you're hearing right now. [26:14] Because these people, they don't – I'm very happy a poll came out. [26:18] It said they're highly educated, but doing very poorly. [26:22] In other words, they're losers. [26:23] They went to school. [26:25] They got a good education. [26:27] Now they can't – they don't know what they're doing. [26:29] So what they do is they complain about people like yourselves that have done so well. [26:33] But we can't let the communist ideology even – we don't want to even think about it for [26:39] this country. [26:39] It would be terrible. [30:05] We've knocked out their Navy, their Air Force, all of their radar, most of their capability [30:12] in terms of manufacturing. [30:15] Their drones are down 84%. [30:17] Their missiles are down 91%. [30:19] And I had a newspaper say, they're in stronger position today than they were four months ago. [30:25] No, that's not the truth. [30:27] That's not right. [30:28] I can't believe they're even allowed to say it. [30:30] New York Times said, they're in stronger position today. [30:33] They have no military. [30:34] They have no Navy. [30:35] They had 159 ships. [30:37] Every one's at the bottom of the sea. [30:39] They had 212 airplanes. [30:41] Every one is gone. [30:43] They have no radar. [30:44] They have no anti-aircraft. [30:46] They have no nothing. [30:47] Other than they're mean and they're smart. [30:51] And they still have some capability. [30:54] But four months ago, trust me, they were much, much stronger. [30:59] Okay? [30:59] I want to give you the non-fake news. [31:02] But we're going to do that. [31:03] And we're going to then have the Dodgers. [31:05] The World Championship Dodgers are going to be over at the White House. [31:07] They're going to be waiting. [31:33] But even the Babe didn't throw a one hitter and hit three home runs, which would make it, I would imagine, about the greatest game ever played. [31:41] So we're going to meet him and all of the people of the Dodgers. [31:44] They won the World Championship. [31:45] And we see the champions, the Super Bowl champions and baseball and basketball, all of them. [31:51] They like to come over to the White House. [31:57] And really talking about the ratepayer protection plan to me is very important because you have to convince your community how great these things. [32:05] You can't fight it. [32:07] You have to go with it. [32:08] And you're going to have all that protection. [32:10] And we're giving you automatic protection. [32:11] But you're going to make a tremendous amount of money. [32:14] You're going to reduce taxes. [32:15] And you're going to have something that if you don't have it, everybody else wants it. [32:20] So these are the smartest people.
