Our First Day of New York Toy Fair 2020

[00:00:00] Maya: We are in New York City for probably one of our most favorite times of the year, every year. Toy Bear! We're at Toy Fair. This is where sneak peeks of all the cool new toys that have his Georgette. I'm going to show you as much of them as we can. Hi everyone! We are in New York City for probably one of our most favorite times of the year, every year. Toy Bear! We are at Toy Fair. This is where they unveil all the new toys that are going to be hitting stores next fall, next Christmas time, maybe in the spring. So we're going to get a sneak peek of all the cool new toys that haven't hit the stores yet, and we're going to show you as much of them as we can. The girl's excited? Yes! Me too! Of course, Addy, you found the one little pony at Toy Fair. Yes. Because she always misses her horses when we're away. It's so good to see a pony. If you haven't picked up on it, I am just getting over bronchitis for like two weeks now, so my voice may go in and out on this video for a little bit, but bear with me because you don't want to miss all the fun toys that we're going to be showing you today. We just get all mic'd up. You know what you got mic'd up for? We're going to go around with Good Morning America, which is a popular morning TV show. I like Good Morning America. And you got to get a test on toys with them, and we're going to film for them, so you'll have to be watching for it to actually hit TV. Exciting. For their official toy testers today. We're filming at Funko now, which has all these little vinyl figures that you're probably familiar with. They have the cutest line of frozen stuff right now, which the girls are checking out. Camera crew, that's where Good Morning America is crazy. There are so many people here. That's so pretty. [00:01:54] Speaker ?: And they're going to mail us one of the backpacks, too. No way. Awesome. Good work, girls. [00:02:09] Addy: Yeah, whenever we come to Toy Fair, we bring lots of empty backpacks. And lots of empty backpacks. [00:02:14] Speaker ?: Why, girls? Because we get so much toys. Yeah. [00:02:14] Addy: We want lots of goodies. Lots of toys. [00:02:16] Maya: We're going to have to share with Carly, right? This is the first toy. First toy. [00:02:55] Maya: It's so funny to watch Rob Marciano from Good Morning America interviewing the girls because they seem so quiet and shy when they're being interviewed. I think it's a little bit overwhelming having all these big cameras and all these people watching them and pointing them at them. Because in reality when we film at home it's just our family. The five of us and a camera. We don't have a camera person. We don't have a lights person. It's just us and it's so much more comfortable setting. So I think they're doing okay. I noticed their answers are pretty short and they're a little bit shy. I think they're having fun with it and that's all that matters. So it's a fun experience today for sure. What kinds of questions is Rob asking? Well I mean like Legos. Okay. What we like about them. Yeah. Are you nervous Maya? You seem kind of quiet and nervous today. Uh-uh. You're doing okay? You never know what you're going to run into at Toy Fair. We have PJ Packs behind us. Colin is missing out his name. Yeah. He would be crazy. We've been popping around from booth to booth with Good Morning America. Right now we're in Jack's Pacific and the girls just checked out some really cool Frozen toys that are coming out. And now they're checking out the princess kitchen set which is really adorable too. Oh my goodness, I think I found you guys. [00:04:21] Speaker ?: These are your toys. There's Addy. There's Maya. [00:04:53] Maya: So the best part of filming of Good Morning America, we are showing off our new toy. It's the XOXO Cupcake Surprise which is going to be in stores. You can find it in Target beginning in March. Really cool. It has tons of surprises inside it. There's Addy's and Maya's and they're a little bit bigger and a little bit squishy. [00:05:15] Maya: Addy and Maya, since they have a better voice than I do, are going to tell you a little bit about our new cupcake and show you how super fun it is. [00:05:23] Addy: This is the cupcake. And when you first open up the key cross. [00:05:30] Maya: There's going to be a key inside, right? Yes. And you have to unlock it. [00:05:35] Addy: So this is what the key will look like in every single one. And you simply put the key in the keyhole, twist it to the side, pull it open, and then you get some more surprises. The cupcake comes with over 20 surprises and you'll get two characters with swappable ways. This is me and Maya. [00:05:54] Maya: And here's Maya. This is Maya. And here's another Maya. And this is Jim. A unicorn. Jim is so cute. I love Jim. The puppy is so cute. I'm not going to give away everything that comes inside of it yet, but there are over 20 surprises inside. You'll have to look for them on the shelf of Target to see what falls included. And be watching for a video on Tic Tac Toy. We're done with Good Morning America and now we're starting our booth tours. We're at Goliath Games right now and the girls are playing Banana Blast and Dragon Snips. Goliath has so many fun games, especially for younger ones. We're walking around thinking so many of these games would be perfect for Colin. There's a lot of great ones that help us find motor skills, color recognition, and my mind's already going crazy with the games that I need to take home to practice with Colin. They're trying to find a loose screw inside Ned's head. Let's see who finds it first. Found it. Oh, you found it? Yeah. Good job. Now we're headed to one of our favorite toy companies, Moov. Yeah. What does Moov make of Maddie? [00:07:09] Addy: Um, Pikmin Pops, um, Shopkins, and um, Crockolops, Kidney Kids. [00:07:16] Maya: So many fun things that the girls love, so we're excited to go check them out now. Ready? Let's put rainbow cake inside, just like that. We love Kidney Kids. We've done so many videos on Kidney Kids and the last edition of Kidney Kids were all like food-based or cafeteria play sets, and now they have so many cute doctor play sets. They have an ambulance, a doctor's back, and four dolls coming out. One of the new things they have here at least is Jelly Res, and the girls are making these jelly designs, and they have to set for 15 minutes, and they're super, super cute. [00:08:01] Speaker ?: So there's different packages you can get. There's text me jewelry. [00:08:04] Maya: There's sweets jewelry, which has a little chocolate bar that the girls are looking at. And then the other one is animals jewelry. They're all their cute little bags. Basically they're like, frozen little like food items. [00:08:26] Addy: Frozen items, right? Ice cream, popsicles. And then there's like this little bag that you put in water to dissolve, and then it makes [00:08:32] Maya: a whole new little. Dissolve in water? Yes. We're going to have to try these out for sure. I see kids with YouTube. They just like to smell the candles. We're checking out all my gifts by me. And gifts. I think I'm pronouncing that right. GIFs. GIFs. Our little stickers you can put on Instagram, or you can send them messages. And they have toys that go with them now. Addy, do you have a favorite one so far? There's so many cute ones. There are so many cute ones. [00:09:12] Speaker 3: So here's our little jelly popsicle. Wow. Oh. And then, now pull those out. And those look on your tools. It just snaps right in there. And you can carve, dig, peel, and you're going to find what's inside. [00:09:28] Maya: You use digging into that. It's like a popsicle. And it's a little soapy-gilly. It's like carving into soap, kind of. It's the neatest feeling though. And there's all sorts of things you can collect inside of them. There's 28 different little characters. And apparently they color change when you put them in the freezer or get them cold. [00:09:44] Speaker 3: And inside the giant popsicle is a cuddle plush. And then, look inside. What's inside? Whoa. We're checking out this new toy called Ravel Tales. Which is basically a ball of yarn that you unravel and you find a cute collectible stuffed animal inside. These are some of the cute collectibles that you can find inside. And what's really neat is you utilize all the yarn and you can make little pom-pom balls that are key chains. And so there's very, like, no waste because everything that you unravel you use to make crafts. Addy got Pizazz the pony. [00:11:49] Speaker ?: Put your little blanket to rest on. We have to try lots of arts and crafts. But we've never done tie days. We're going to have to change them. It'll be fun to start doing some tie day projects. The girls are putting all the colors or the dyes inside the little canister now. I think Addy went blue and green. And Maya, I believe, is doing blue and purple. And you can do any combinations of any colors you want. You can do all of them. You can do two of them. You can do three of them. No matter what way you do it. Every time you do it, it's going to look completely different. So now we have to wait like eight hours for it to set. And then we'll open it tonight. So we can't show you what our shirts look like today. But I think they're going to look pretty cool. Yeah. We hope you had fun coming out at Toy Fair with us. This is only day one.
