it is now 5 p.m. and i will call to order the city of plantation special council meeting shade session public meeting the meeting is provided pursuant to section 286.011 florida statutes and i'll ask if miss beggar will please call the roll council member anderson council member andreyu here council member fadgen here council member horland here council member right here mayor sortle here city attorney ezra here thank you once the meeting commences it is estimated to last in attorney client session for approximately 30 minutes the names of the persons attending are the mayor and each city council member we have also chief administrative officer jason nunamaker we have special counsel scott alexander we have city attorney kerry ezra and we have a court reporter thank you um with that being said and just for the record uh we're here on the case of brianna charles versus the city of plantation case number cace 23-012718 depending in the circuit court of the 17th judicial circuit broward county with those formalities being concluded we're going to recess the public portion of the meeting we're going to make sure that the tape is not running that the microphones are uh off uh as far as projecting to the outside areas um and we're going to go into a private attorney client session during the attorney client session everything will be transcribed by the court reporter we are required to limit our discussion to litigation costs and expenses and settlement just as as an fyi and also although the transcript of the private session will be confidential and exempt from public disclosure uh during the pendency of the litigation once the litigation is concluded the transcript does become a public record thank you thank you city attorney ezra
