should receive a bounce-back message telling you to call 9-1-1. When you text 9-1-1, your first message should be brief with the location and the type of emergency. Be ready to answer follow-up texts from us. Keep your messages clear and concise. Don't use abbreviations or emojis. Text to 9-1-1 is available only in English, and if you have a text or data plan for your text messages that come through, you can't send a text to 9-1-1 in a group message. 9-1-1 has to be the only recipient. I'm Christy from Volusia County Environmental, and we are out here at Deep Creek Reserve to share the Adopt-A-Trail program. You help maintain the trail. You help keep it to look beautiful. A couple ways you can do that. One is you can bring out loppers and trimmers, and anything that overhangs the trail that sticks out far, you can trim back so you leave a nice wide trail for other people to pass through. Other things you can do is if there's any trash along the trail, you want to be sure to pick that up, take a trash bag as you go along and collect any trash. That way you leave the trail absolutely beautiful. And there's one other thing you can do also, is be on the lookout for non-native invasive species. These are plants that take over, and they choke out the native plants that are supposed to be here. And if you see them, you can remove them yourself, or let us know about it, and then you can come and remove them. It's a great program where you get to help clean up in one of the over 40 miles of trails that we have here in Volusia County. So we need lots of help. I work for the Public Informations Department, and I'm here to show you our new and improved website. On this website, we have a lot of cool features. Specifically, in regards to this website, we try to make it more user-friendly. And so with this, we have a lot of key tabs and buttons that are available to our residents that we found were the most clicked items and most needed items for our residents. So at the top of the page, you'll see a government tab, the departments tab, where you can find any of the departments here within the municipality, a FEMA tab, a video tour tab, and then a notify me option. If you click on the notify me option, it'll take you to our notify me page, and you can receive alerts in regards to our main calendar and also some newsflash features. Now, if you click on the City of Deltona seal, it'll always take you back to the main homepage. Now, underneath the City seal, you'll see a search function. You'll be able to type in anything that you need to look for, just in case you can't find it on the main homepage. And then underneath that, we have our specific buttons. We have agenda and minutes.
